This build contains fixes for the localized text in the new Feedback Notifications.

- Achievements Leaderboard:

The Achievements Leaderboard should now display the correct progress and status when opened.

- Sign In

This build contains a fix to address an issue in which the console is connected to Xbox Live but the dashboard displays offline content or games prompt to connect to Xbox Live.

- Party Chat

This build contains a fix to address an issue in which some users experienced frequent party chat disconnects or party chat failed to initiate.

The ring around the squawker icon in the party chat menu should now always match your dashboard color choice.

- Guide

This build contains a fix to address an issue in which certain options in the Guide would not be selectable.

When unlocking secret achievements, gamerscore earned from those achievements should no longer display as “--" in the Guide.

It's almost certainly the 'anniversary update' that has been in the works. Basically trying out the UWP apps on volunteers, probably rolled out like the NXOE update.

Background music was announced already as part of the redstone update, as well as cortana and uwp. As with nxoe I wouldn't be in a mad rush to jump on it

They're currently sending out messages telling people to enrol for the new preview update through the app on Xbox.

Yeah forgot these ones needed to be opted into now , just saw the message on my phone. I never get notifications on my xbox of those messages from Xbox Live, the message is there just now pop up.

Before anyone agrees to join this new preview wave, a word of warning! The first few releases of this update will probably contain severe bugs, bugs which may impact on the core capabilities of the Xbox One. If you are okay with your Xbox One being slightly less useful/slightly more frustrating for a few weeks, then sign up, otherwise, hold off on signing up.

You can follow this thread and the people brave/foolish enough to accept the update will let you know when it's in acceptable working order.

From what I've read they are also being more selective about granting access to it and at minimum basing it on the scores for doing quests, feedback etc in the last major round of previews.

About time My Apps and Games got update. I don't think I've ever seen a more woe-begotten user interface than that horrible mess. I mean really, a long unending horizontal menu of large images? A criminal waste of screen real estate.

The update will start rolling out in waves at 6PM PST, so 2 in the morning over here.

Mickeroo's mention of Windows Phone has actually reminded me of a worse user experience, and again, it's made by Microsoft. The settings screen on windows phone 7 and 8 was totally ridiculous, it had literally no rhyme or reason to it's set up. I used to imagine the dev meeting discussing it going something like this:

Go into the Preview App and enroll in the latest preview in there. They're doing the roll out based on the surveys and feedback you provided previously, so despite taking part in all the surveys and stuff, because I never sent in feedback, I'll probably be low down on the list.

Hmm. If it doesn't show until you get the message, then maybe make sure that you didn't just accidentally remove yourself from the program.

I didn't have the previous preview update 22/4/16 because this is a new console, maybe I'm unable to get this update because of this.

Downloading it now, kinda surprised I'm getting it so early to be honest.

EDIT: My Games and Apps is unbelievably better. Not too sure on the new store, I'll give it time. Still exploring.

They've removed the shortcut to it from where your pins are. That section is much better now. The store is pretty much the same as it was and still a long way off where it needs to be.

Edit: Oh wait i see it niw, it's on the main tile where it should always have been

Did they unbury the OneGuide/TV features? I rarely watch TV but have found it really difficult to get to since NXOE without using voice commands. Long way since the days of 'x' to bring up OneGuide!

Are you checking out the new store? They've hidden it in the featured button for now. Loads of windows 10 apps are now searchable, including ones that are just windows 10 test apps.

There's a reason it's hidden away as well, it's pretty buggy so far.

Yeah spotted after I posted, another thing thats new is the console beeps if you power up/down with the controller as if you'd pressed the button on the console.

Apps and games in the queue now show downloaded amount in mb and speed.

Huh. They aren't joking about the whole ""new store" thing. Just been reading the patch notes, and if you buy anything on an Xbox in the new store, you can't play it on a non-preview console. Weird.
