    Because the Govt. aren't money lenders (unless you're "entitled" to money of course that you won't pay back).

    That makes their treatment all the worse.

    If they did have a loan there might be some justification for the government's methods of claiming repayment.

    The fact that they didn't and are now being bullied into submission with wholly unreasonable demands and told to cough up within a week or else, resembles very much the language used by loan sharks.


    And now the NPPR website is down for the weekend.
    This whole mess could be called a joke if there was anyone laughing.

    Ah now Lapin, come on, stop doing a Joe on it with the misrepresentation of the facts. It's likely (though we await clarification of this point) down for 2 hours tomorrow morning, only a half an hour of which could be deemed within normal working hours. And they said to email to register your complaint/claim etc., not lodge it on the website.

    Do you honestly believe EACH AND EVERY ONE of these callers this week heard NOTHING about this before Monday of this week, despite the blanket coverage at the time it was launched many years ago, ads on radio and in the press every year since and featured on radio programs like this many times over the years?
