    I'm so excited

Cake, and grief counseling, will be available at the conclusion of the test

Where are you guys getting the prices?

  • Registered Users Posts: 22,249 ✭✭✭✭Lemlin

    Potential bargains IMO:

    Krul 4.5
Mannone 4.5 (I'm amazed he is still this price after 134 points last year)

Man United defenders - all 5.5 (bar Shaw) which should be good value under van Gaal.

Michu - 7.5 (if he regains form)
Kagawa - 6.5 if van Gaal used him.
Odemwingie - 6.5 and listed as a mid.
Siggy - 6 mil if he moves.

    Dzeko - 8.5.

    Edited to correct Shaw error.

    who is overpriced?

    Here ya go:

    Terry,
    Stones,
    Bertrand,
    Oviedo,
    West Ham defenders
    Sanchez,
    Ozil(was poor last season)
    Lamela
Tadic (would be a gem at 6, 7.5 way too much)
    Soldado
    Pelle

Would go with Utd keeper as would be a starter for sure

I would't go near him or Evra anyway. They'll be rotated. I'd be looking more at Phil Jones and the central defenders.

Evra should be off to Juventus in the next few days so Shaw should start every game.

Debuchy at 5.5 could be a decent option when his move to Arsenal goes through.

I thought that he had only signed a new contract?

    Here ya go:

Terry. 6.5 is perfect. captain for a Mourinho team.
Stones at 5.5, literally just .5 maybe too expensive.
Bertrand he's a Chelsea sub defender. 5.0 is standard
Oviedo 5.0 is maybe .5 too expensive
West Ham defenders they're solid at home
Sanchez could be the steal of the game at 10.5 as a MF
Ozil(was poor last season) 9.0 is bang on. could flourish if suitably rested.
Lamela 8.0 is too much. who cares though?
Tadic (would be a gem at 6, 7.5 way too much) he's going to start, probably as the main playmaker, in a team who came top half last year. maybe 1.0 too expensive, but I can see where they're coming from.
Soldado 8.0 is perfect. he's a potential goldmine in the correct system.
Pelle 7.5 for a striker likely to start in a top 8 team. maybe .5 too expensive since he's unknown, but meh.

If these are the extent of your grievances, I think we're ok.

what about the bargains? 9.0 for Cesc for instance? Silva for 9.0?

people always expect to pick whoever they want at the start of the season. it's not how it works.

i've already seen people moaning about some of the prices for Ramsey, Ozil, Cesc, Sturridge. the game is a farce if the prices are so low that you can just pick who you basically want.

Krul and whichever Sunderland keeper starts both at 4.5 gives u Sunderland and Newcastle perfect rotation for 9 million. Striker options aren't great can see myself spending a lot of money on midfielders.

Apparently just to bump the fee a touch!

He did, Eric Abidal signed for Olympiakos 2 days after signing a new contract at Monaco last week. Contract was only signed so that United got a fee for him imo even if it is a small one.

Does anyone have any idea who's likely starting GK for Sunderland?

I was thinking the same re the rotation myself. Mannone and Krul also both scored well last year.

Dummett at Newcastle is decent value at 4.0 if he plays as well.

Jelavic at Hull is only 6.0.

How come Costa isn't on it? I can't find him anyway. Maybe I'm blind.

Mannone without doubt. Hero of last season.

That's what I'd hoped, just thought he might be at risk when they signed Pantilimon...

Naismith at 5.0m striker could be a good shout if Everton don't sign anyone big. He got a lot of starts at the end of last season

I've picked a quick team and started a rate my team thread:

    http://www.boards.ie/vbulletin/showthread.php?p=91300997#post91300997

    Krul - 4.5
    Mannone - 4.5

    9 mil spent

    Debuchy - 5.5
    Baines - 7.0
    Shaw - 6.0
    Dunne - 4.5
    O'Brien - 4.5

    27.5 mil spent

    Fabregas - 9 mil
    Walcott - 9 mil
    Sanchez - 10.5 mil
    Odemwingie - 6.5
    Shelvey -5.5

    40.5 mil spent

    Dzeko - 8.5
    Bony - 8.5
    Jelavic - 6.0

    23 mil spent

Players are nearly too underpriced IMO. That's a decent team for a first stab at it.

got the calculator out and did a very quick first draft and it came in at 108 so going to have to make some major cuts!

  • Registered Users Posts: 671 ✭✭✭skipz

Mannone and Fabregas on the team for sure, coleman can go swivel for 7!

Iam a bit surprised yaya is at 11, was expecting 12.0 :P

Or Liverpool. Either way would be a bit of value in that
