    I'd love a penguin.

Penguins and meerkats would be cool.

There are only 2 types of people in this world that understand binary. Or phonetics

Id get an elephant. He could use his trunk to get into those hard to reach places.

Also would save me having to pay for the leccy shower.

The Reptile Zoo in Gowran, Co. Kilkenny has the biggest, angriest owl I've ever seen. The owl is upstairs, in a netted corner, hooting owl feck offs to all the visitors.

    An orangutan.

A wise owl might be costly though

    You want Roy Hodgson?

    No need to buy one.

If the rumours are to be believed you can have Jermaine Johnson for free :D

A dire wolf and a penguin.

They'd be friends so the penguin wouldn't get eaten.

Owls are some of the least intelligent birds, in fact most bricks would compare favourably in the IQ department. From what I've heard from falconers, they are quite difficult to train to hunt - even well trained owls will more often than not completely ignore prey walking by only a few feet away.

    /serious answer

    tldr: buy a brick instead

I can fill that role for you, or nearly everyone in AH.

You're about 10,000 years too late on wanting one of them.

I think a tarantuala would be a cool pet to have, give it an insect every now and again and it's happy out.

Ducks are better, they give you eggs, look hilarious and do that "we don't quite belong on land" waddle anytime they want to go anywhere.
    Can't Owls be quite vicious?

I read that alright but then again getting a pet dire wolf is about as likely as getting a pet owl or pet penguin etc. :D
