hello all, anyone recommend tv satellite technician, reasonably priced and good.
    thanks in advance
Pat Connaughton for me was excellent, reasonably priced and excellent to arrange with. Realligned a sat for me twice while I was at work and I met him in reception where I work and paid him. His number is in the advertiser classified section, found him to be a gent to deal with.

    Hi all,

Looking to head to the GP on Monday, preferably in or around the Salthill/Spanish Arch area, can anyone recommend one? Ideally one that'll let you register for future visits. TIA

Churchfields Medical Centre in Lower Salthil is good. Open at 8 -10.30 for drop in appointments but there's often a wait of up to 45 mins.

I was in the number 10 shop on quay Street yesterday and they had what looked to me like tiny toilet plungers, they were for holding phones, maybe that's the kind of thing you are after?

My daughter got one at the stall in front of Supermac's in Eyre Square (a few weeks ago). She says Amazon have them too.

*Not sure if this is done here, but if it is, does anyone know any bookshops who do "Lucky Book Bags"?

To clarify, usually, 2nd hand bookshops will put an assortment of books into something like a small bin bag, charge a flat fee, I use these in large groups to encourage ppl to mix and socialise.

Some of the charity shops and jumble sales used to do 'bundles of books' five or six books wrapped with a piece of string.

You can get a roll of them in Dealz for a Euro or two. I'd say most supermarkets have them.

Are these sandwich bags you are thinking of ?

The ones you take to put your veg in the supermarket would not be the same quality as sandwich bags and I would say there would be at least a hundred in a full roll yet they are what I need.

Will look in Dealz at any rate.
    Thanks.

Terryland Asian Food Market might do the job.

Or there's Asiatic Manila in Abbeygate Street.

Best place to park for 10 minutes while moving things into Edward Sq apartments?

Think maybe Dunnes but then would have to travel through Dunnes with bags.

Was going to say this. Pretty sure there's access through the car park to the apartment complex, but not sure how that access is controlled.

  • Registered Users Posts: 81,223 ✭✭✭✭biko

Yeah, on 2 or 3 level there is actually a gate leading onto Edward square

I've seen people moving in and out of apts there hauling stuff through Dunnes to the car park, many of the businesses locally also use the car park from time to time if moving certain goods outside of traffic on Shop St hours.
