    http://www.citizensinformation.ie/en/travel_and_recreation/roads_and_safety/road_traffic_speed_limits_in_ireland.html

According to this link all dual carriageways have speed limits of 100km/h, which we know is not the case on the n4.

I actually fully support it, the road is a bit of a mess and can be very busy at times. You'd meet all sorts on that road, the speeding flashers in a rush to get to/from Galway, slow vans & drivers, people crossing lanes.

Nearly every junction is a mess, both going from Liffey valley to southbound m50 and coming from m50 north and southbound merging with existing traffic to outbound n4 is messy too.

Not to mention the Texaco garage/ woodies exit, and the superquinn Lucan exit (which is fine now) both traditionally huge hold up areas before the extra n4 lane was added.

Inbound spa hotel/Lucan exit has been known for some nasty crashes too.

Considering all of the above, I genuinely don't mind the 80km speed limit there. I'm patient enough to wait for the motorway.

As for the GortGirl, is she a Learner? Hence her passenger? Could she have an impairment to driving? Severe anxiety? There must be a reason!!
