Well at least David Maddock and not John Cross wrote the article. Gives me some hope! :)

Pedro would be a perfect fit, a great addition and a signing to get really excited about.

What price is the "right price" I wonder (if there's any truth to it)?

If Lallana is being touted for 20m then getting Pedro for anything under 30m should be seen as a smarter option

I would much prefer Sanchez leave than Pedro.

We could very well end up with both

Pedro would be incredible. Probably one of the most underrated Barca players in recent years.

If that happens I'll change my name to Lord Washington, stand outside the GPO in the nip and post the pics here.

CL nights at Anfield, we should stick in a cheeky bid for Ronaldo or Bale. I know you're probably thinking why not Messi.. He just signed a new deal.

    Why not both?

Luis has injured his knee apparently. Surgery needed. Possibly out for 4-6 weeks. Easy to believe he's indestructible at times.

Meniscus tear. Conflicting reports as to if he will miss the World Cup.

Suarez out of the World Cup?

    Booooooo

Feel sickened for him if true. One player who deserves the chance to show how good he is on the World stage.

    Good for Pool but, no?

He'll miss the first game of the WC but should be fit for match v England according to news report in Uruguay. Recovery from the procedure varies person to person though it says.

Was thinking that maybe it would dampen down transfer talk and give him his first summer break in the past four years, but I'm not getting much joy tbh and knee injuries, and miss watching a talent like Suarez on the biggest stage is really disappointing.

Read the Suarez injured report in some rag online.

    It's true? :(

Reports from Uruguay suggest he will be fit for the World Cup and undergoing keyhole surgery soon.

Sounds like a rush job to me and very similar sounding to the last time one of our star strikers got injured for a major tournament and rushed back too soon.

That worked out well for the long term fitness of the player in question, didn't it :(

How does this happen, 2 seasons at Liverpool, played every game, apart from suspension, never injured, goes to some international training camp, and gets injured in training.

**** it, gutted for Suarez and Liverpool. At least we know he'll be going nowhere now

That particular striker suffered the previous season with a lot of injuries anyway.

Most people are back in 4/5 weeks but Meniscus tear CAN be serious though. Depending on the severity it could be anything up to 2/3 months

Not good at all. This injury sounds reasonably serious and combined with the tough season he's had, it might take its toll on him.

Daniel Agger has claimed that Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers doesn't think he's 'good enough' to select him in the Reds' first team.

The Danish defender struggled to nail down a starting position under Rodgers last season and is unsure whether he has a future at Anfield.

When asked about his Liverpool future, Agger told the Daily Mirror: 'I don’t know. That’s up to the manager. I can’t go and put myself on the team sheet.

'It definitely wasn’t great to be left out, but I don’t make the decisions.

'I think it is because the manager doesn’t think that I’m good enough.'

However, the 29-year-old insists that no decision will be made about his future until he has returned from his summer holidays.
'I’m not thinking about my future,' he said.

'Now my focus is on the next international games with Denmark. Then I’m looking forward to a long five-week holiday. My body and mind need to relax.'

Won't be too upset Suarez missing the World cup if he does tbh.

All I want now is England to be home on the first plane.

3.5 seasons at Liverpool without missing a game through injury.

Gutted for Suarez personally. More importantly this should come as a stark reminder that for the most part we got off very lightly regarding injuries this season.

Sure we had Lucas, Gerrard, Sturridge and Allen all out at certain points, but one serious injury to Suarez or a couple of players within our current main 12 players and we would be in serious trouble.

Hope this drives home the point to the owners that when we buy this summer, we MUST buy quality. First team quality and that doesn't come without a big price tag. Especially now that we are competing for players in the top bracket, we will need to pay big wages too.

I really hope the owners arent expecting us to unearth more Coutinhos.

Regarding the Pedro/Sanchez links, Ive also seen in the guardian a few days back that Fabregas was being lined up. If we were to believe all these reports it would appear Barca are selling their entire squad and secondly, we would have serious competition for players of that caliber.

Much like Munich, half of their squad have been linked with moves away, Kroos, Goetze, Shaquiri, Martinez etc.

I simply don't believe that those clubs would sell some of their top talent en mass like that.

Yeah, by the sounds of it Barca's and Bayern's full squads are up for sale.

The rags are getting great mileage out it if with fanboys all over lapping it up.

I'd sign the Bayern players alright not sure about us buying players from 1860 ;) although knowing Ayre he'd probably take a wrong turn on the bike and end up there.
