Some have Saturday deliveries but they're quite pricey.

    New to this.
Bought a few autoglym products the other day.
What's the best way to dry the car after a wash so there won't be any water spots?
I'm yet to put on the autoglym resin.

You need a microfiber towel with good pile.

Look up detailingshed.com all you will ever need.

Auto glym has some god stuff but its mainly used in the trade for having cars polished in showrooms.

    Much better gear out there.

i know you're not suppose to use snowfoam in direct sunlight...i take it thats because of the hot bodywork....but what if i blast the car with cold water beforehand ??

It would help cool down the bodywork a bit but snowfoam works best on dry paint.

Can you park in the shade anywhere?

btw i'm not referring to a resprayed panel..but generally speaking

Well the Labrador wet the back seat yesterday after going to the vets. Car now stinks. Anyone know how much it would cost just to get the seat washed and cleaned??

    rinse
    dry

    Next morning
    rinse
    Light wash
    dry

Baking soda meant to be good to kill odour.
Try and get as much of wet out as possible.

Needs a wet vac. Any valeter would be equipped i would guess around €50 or so for interior.

was it water that ran off him or Piddle out of him?

As above, Baking soda is supposed to be a good odor eater but I would try shampoo the seat first, I would also try this > http://valetpro.eu/enzyme-odour-eater.html

Not sure where you would get it here but I am sure I got mine from Detailing shed.
I used it and it does kill smells.

Washed the car today, wrecked now, and I used the snow foam in direct sunlight, did inside and out, both badly needed

Anyone used CG silk shine on their interior? Im looking for something that leaves a good gloss as opposed to a matt finish. I'd previously been using a gallon worth of pink sheen I picked up many moons ago which did the trick but smelled rank.

I thought the only reason you didn't work in direct sunlight is that the water will evaporate off before you can dry it properly and whatever contaminants in the water would then be left? is there more to it

Gave the car a clean today. Used "T-Cut Classic Clay Bar Kit" that I picked up in a motor factors during the week while collecting other parts. Grand to use as a starter kit but I dont think I'd use the wax that was included in the kit again.

    Finish result:

I also took off the silver strip of plastic that was on the boot. I really didnt like it there and it was already falling off. Im now left with this, the strip must have been stuck on with the foam double sided tape. Any solution on how to remove it without damaging the boot? Some bits of it came off when I got close with the power washer but I dont want to get too close incase I cause any damage.
(Excuse the state of the rear bumper and small dent on the boot :pac:)

Petrol and a soft cloth. I used to be raging using petrol when I used to try and perfect the back of the reg plates after taking off the double sided tape. Now I just use a spatula, what comes off does and what doesn't, can stay on!

Well you could try wd40 first, it's less aggressive then petril.

Never thought of WD40, I'll try that out first and then the petrol if it doesnt work. I'll report back tomorrow morning ;)

Whatever you use, obviously you'll have to reapply the polish or whatever it was you used, but I'm assuming you know that much! :P

Use dental floss to remove the thick layer and then spirits to remove the rest

Neer used that particular product, but you'd want to be careful with glossy dashboards and such.

A friend of mine bought a van a while back and it came from the dealer with a full valet, and the dashboard was gleaming. And I mean gleaming! Literally needed to wear sunglasses. It was like a mirror when the sun hit it.

I've only ever used Meguiars Interior Detailer myself, and find it fantastic at cleaning things to a nice matt finish.

But like everything else - It's all down to personal preference :)

There is a handheld steam cleaner for sale in Lidl next Monday for €20 for anyone looking for one. I have one from a few years ago. I've only used it on cleaning under the bonnet which it does well. Not sure how it would do on interiors.
