Aldi Rheinbacher is better than Lidl Perlenbacher imo, even prefer it over the brewed-in-Germany XXL Perlenbacher

Has more of a pilsner malt taste than the Perlenbacher which is a wheat taste.

Perlenbacher I find to be just too sweet. Maybe to do with the wheat you mention above.

Rheinbacher on the other hand definitely more bitter. Feels like a more true reflection of what a pils is supposed to be and it’s sooo cheap.

Would love one right about now tbh

it's not really a true Pilsner but it's decent stuff for sure and especially for the price.

And going back to the bargains, Powers three swallow is 33 in SuperValu at the moment, fantastic stuff and nothing would beat it at the price.

Have you tried St Etienne lager in Aldi? For €1.39 per 500ml bottle, I think it's very good.

I have. Lager-style beer. It's ok but I'd prefer the Rheinbacher personally.

Sainsburys allegedly have a 25% off 6 or more bottles of any wines or Prosecco from the 17th until the 21st (Sunday). Quota of 36 bottles per customer.

I say 'allegedly' as they advertised this offer on two dates in April and May- and didn't run it.

Anyone seen this Peroni offer knocking about in any other Tesco please ?

My local one didn't have it , might be store specific.

Not online either, the only offer advertised is this. Was it short shelf life? Big peroni fan, sounds like great value.

Available in Tesco Carlow. About 7/8 left. On a pallet with the other boxed beers.
