    Question:

do you think Moyes will hold anything back for the Olympiakos game?

    No.

Although, my main concern is that he wouldn't see playing Young, Valencia, Cleverley, Rio as holding anything back, but rather he'd see that as "going with proven experience of the current champions"

Some people call a raise with 7,2 in their hands. If they win, it still doesn't make it a good call.

Good quiz here from TeamTalk regarding United-Liverpool fixtures.

Even a 7, 2 off suit if they're silly enough.

If they do hit that flop well though it's a real blindsider for anyone up against them :)

Edit - a good flop being a Valencia screamer from outside the box....

I think one of Young or Valencia will come into the side, hopefully not both.

I'll assume you're pro Moyes, I didn't ask about the result, I asked what would your opinion be if he fielded the same team as he did v Olympiakos?

Depends on the size of the raise in fairness.

We've to get away from results-based thinking ;)

I don't think I could bring myself to watch the game if I see Valencia, Cleverley, Young or Welbeck on the team sheet this weekend

Pool will embarrass us if we line up negativity
Agree with that - you know Liverpool have been magnificent up front this season but at the back have been very suspect in some games. The only way we can beat them imo is just to go for it and hope we can somehow keep Suarez and Sturridge relatively quiet.

Ruin his analogy anyway, Pedantic Pete :pac:

As for this weekend's game, I'm not at all confident. Liverpool are fairly pitiful at the back, RVP usually plays well against us, and United have too much talent in their squad for them not to score at least once.

I don't care about form. Big games like these, form is all but irrelevant.

I'd be confident for Liverpool if it was on Anfield, but I really can't see us coming away with all 3 points in Old Trafford, not with the way we've approached every game this season.

I feel this game, if Moyes goes for it, could be a 7 goal wonder with the attacking options both teams have but the deficiencies in defense both have.

He's got to go for it, right? He could save his job between this and the City game. Get a couple of fan pleasing wins and finish out the season strong building some momentum for next year.

If Moyes starts with Cleverley, Young and Valencia I will be so depressed it will take all the joy out of my day this weekend. I'm not even joking. My wife will be making things worse by saying things like "get over it, it's just a game" but she obviously couldn't understand.

I'm currently in the Moyes out camp but if he has seen the light and starts a team similar to that which started against Brom I might start to believe again.

Feck it, even if we lost to Pool with that formation in a well contested game I could handle it. But losing with the same team as the one that faced Olympiakos in the limp dick way we lost would be unbearable.

Valencia, Cleverley and Young have no business playing against Liverpool. We will be annihilated with them in midfield. Our best available team is the one that beat West Brom. That's the team we should stick with until the end of the season.

Moyes's only chance of rescuing the season is a strong showing the CL, so I'd imagine he'll save his "best" team for Olympiakos. That's bad news for Liverpool.

Am I the only one who felt Januzaj was really poor against West Brom? Not sure if I would start him against Liverpool. Fellaini on the other hand was a very good candidate for man of the match after Carrick.

He was poor and he has not been near as good this season as many supporters in here seem to think.

Thats not his fault though, he has done extremely well for an 18 year old, and I think his handling has been one of the very few things Moyes has done right this season. I don't think he will start him against Liverpool, it will be Young unless Moyes does the most retarded thing possible and goes back to Valencia on the wing.

Rescuing the CL campaign next week more important than Sunday imo.

Also Moyes didn't go for it late on v arsenal when 4th was more possible than it is now. I reckon if its level in last 10 Moyes will settle for game saving draw than going for it

That is a sweeping statement that is largely inaccurate.

Adnan, pre-Mata, was easily in our top 5 performers, maybe top 3 with Rooney and De Gea. Since Mata joined he has (thankfully) much less responsibility to create and (unfortunately) has had less of an impact, but don't make it out like we are all lording him as CR7 mk II, for large parts when Rooney and RVP were missing he was the only creative spark we had, without Adnan this season would have been far more bleak.

Maybe Adnan is a little burned out.......Kagawa time?

Yeah that's my point. I think a lot of people are praising him based on highlight clips and what they've heard other people say about him. Definitely a bright prospect but nothing really to show that he is as good as he is being made out to be.

IMO, Moyes won't go for an attacking team. In that case Valencia will start because he's good at tracking back and all that crap.

Anybody know much about William Carvalho and have watched him regularly?

I have never seen him play myself
