Nope, you really don't see a difference between assessing the window in June vs assessing it in September?

They weren't just assessing it though were they?

Ya few posts were ott but much what they said was spot on.

You see having ****ed up the window in summer 2011 and doing shag all on CM in 2012 it did not take genius to figure out early on things might be crap in 2013 also.

Which they were. Lets face it.

Bayern Munich hold the record for biggest QF win in the CL era by beating Kaiserslautern 6–0 (2–0, 4–0) in 1998–99

    *sniff*

A lunatic on the streets of Dublin crying the sky is falling wouldn't be right or sane if the sky eventually fell.

So what is your argument then? That the owners are somehow stopping the managers buying central midfiedlers?

I think Graeme Souness is right. There is no quick fix to this.

People better get ready for another average season next year. Maybe Top 4 but that is all.

Even if Moyes goes damage has been done. Players aint suddenly just going to bang in goals and play outstanding overnight.

People dont want to accept they are wrong. They dont want to hear that we have passengers. We do. We have done for 3-4 seasons.

Forget about Moyes here for a second....Mitch and Homer were two of the more vocal people here about our lack of transfer me not much better till some of ye tried calm me down last summer.

The sad reality is we were right now. Moyes has created a mess, but that mess was there to be ****ed about too and it has.

You have to remember this club got knocked out at group stage in 11/12 and collapsed last season in CL 2nd round.

The club has been put itself in the back foot the past few years.

We might have to take another step back before we take 2 forward. I think a lot of fans aint prepared for that.

Even if Fergie was in charge the amount of players he would need in summer is unacceptable.

Some have been saying this for couple of years but some wont listen.

Some people think a magic wand can just make things better. Fools!

This really is a load of pompous shíte.

But the thing is you're implying that only Homer and Mitch saw we needed investment and hadn't exactly been securing stellar signings in previous windows. They weren't. Go back through the posts on here and you'll see everyone listing players they thought we needed and expressing worry as to whether we'd get them.

The only thing Homer and Mitch did differently was to come on in June/July screaming about how incompetent the club were for ****ing up Thiago's signing or Garay rumours causing 10% share price drops and other nonsense like that.

Homer had a ban a few months ago and then never came back after it. Mitch is still posting in here regular enough.

De gea heading to the World Cup? Valdes is supposedly out now for 6 months and he's the only keeper other than casillas, reina or Valdes selected in the last year. Diego lopez from madrid is surely the only threat and he's only got 1 cap from '09

We are one or two singings away from being competitive again. And a manager. That's all. Are players aren't suddenly worse! They won a league

Right. I had to check because I didn't want to be wasting my time if that was the case.

I never said that the last three seasons' transfers were satisfactory. I said that your post was pompous shíte.

The majority of this thread have been unhappy with the transfer dealings at the club for years, specifically the lack of CMs and the lack of competition or cover for Evra. The majority of this thread realise that it won't all be plain sailing to get the club back to winning in the post Fergie era.

Your claim that people are fools for thinking a magic wand will fix everything is bullshít because nobody is talking like that is the case.

Your claim that you have been proven right is also bullshít because you haven't even bothered to detail what exactly you have been proven right about.

While Cm is going to be a issue for 4th summer running, CB now is also a concern.

We can still attract players. Im not worried about that. Im worried we will just screw things up again.

We will get it right eventually.

Manchester United start following Man City on Twitter after David Moyes 'aspiration' comments

Manchester City have gained a new Twitter follower after last night's Old Trafford success... none other than the official Manchester United account.

On this evidence, United's Twitter controllers have taken the 'I want to be like you' admission quite literally and may be taking tips on recapturing their success.

How long until the red page suddenly has a somewhat 'blue outlook'?

We were just a manager away from being competitive in the league this season imo. Players needed for the CL alright.

Ancelotti would be great to steady the ship, but if there's a longer term option available we should be going for them

It doesn't look like there is though, if Van Gaal and Ancelloti are the names being thrown around, Klopp looks nailed on for Germany job in a few years, if Pep ever wanted to settle down why would he choose United when he can cherry pick the team he wants, unless the challenge of doing what Fergie did appeals to him, but it'll probably be international next.

De Boer could be in with a shout.

Why wouldnt pep choose utd, one of the biggest teams in europe with a great budget, a huge graoud and fanbase. Its made for him

Why do you say you'd only like Ancelotti to steady the ship? He's a quality manager with plenty of years left managing a high club level. De Boer is a big risk imo.
