In an ideal world he would be relieved of his duties if (when) Bayern hammer us over the two legs (OK, an ideal world would have been Moyes removed from power months ago, but I'm I said ideal world - not dream world). BUT, is it just me or does anyone else feel like there is just no chance the board will sack him before the summer - regardless of how the season's results finish out?

I'm utterly convinced he'll be here come September. Too much support from SAF and Charlton aswell as deals being apparently done for 2 players. Think this season is just a write off and next will be when he's actually expected to perform. That's just my gut feeling, unfortunately.

    He'll be there in September.

A box to box midfielder is badly needed somebody who can dribble at pace for counter attacks and offer creativity from deep.

    Our final games...

    Villa (H)
    Bayern (H)
    Newcastle (A)
    Bayern (A)
    Everton (A)
    Norwich (H)
    Sunderland (H)
    Hull (H)
    Southampton (A)

Should beat Villa; we've not been special against bottom half teams but beaten them. Bayern will kill us at Old Trafford. Newcastle could be tough; it will be coming off the hiding we get from the Germans, and Newcastle could see it as a chance to gain ground on 7th. Bayern again then. They'll finish the rout.

If Moyes is still in charge then....I could see Everton beating us handily enough; we've only 1 win against the top 9 and they are in form while we aren't. Norwich I think we could win, but same as Villa. Grind out a result.

I'd imagine we'd beat Hull and Sunderland based on how low down the table they are, but both have already gotten victories over us this season, and could be fighting relegation battles. And Southampton are same as Everton; wouldn't be shocked to lose.

Be interesting; I'd worry a good run against dross like Hull and Sunderland, and a "plucky" win over Southampton would end the season on a fake high, the type some people have used continously over the season to pretend everything is ok.

What do people think though? 21 points available. Do we even hit 15/16 points? Shame is, in a title challange year, we'd be thrilled with that run-in...

What we need is a new manager more important than anything no point buying great players to have them playing negative football...

If we change manager ill be happy

Its a good run in alright and United should be getting 19 of 21 at least if they were any use. But they arw not much use!

Hull don't have a win over United unless I am confused. ?.....??

My mistake; thought they beat us 3-2, but we beat them 3-2. Poor memory on my part. :)

Giving Moyes 200m is like giving Stevie Wonder a camera at this stage

If he's still in the job after the Bayern massacre I want to know why the club are letting him stay and giving him 200m on the back of this season. Time isn't a reason, managers have had worse players but at least shown some promise, the only promise we've shown is against really bog standard teams. Everything this season has pointed towards one thing and that is that Moyes' ceiling is upper midtable and nothing further.

I don;t get where people are thinking Moyes is bad at buying players. Its about his one redeeming feature. If Fergie bought Mata and Fell we'd be creaming our pants.

As a matter of Fact Moyes went about getting Evra replaced before the season (Evra has been at best, a liabilty all year) and everyone tore him to shreds about it. I certainly would bite someone's hand off to Replace Evra with Baines. We were unlucky both Fab and Thiago weren't really interested in joining otherwise the CM issue could have been plugged properly too.

I'm not saying he's bad, the man is pretty great in the transfer window if you look at his record. I'm saying it's absolutely pointless.

Tactics are at least 80% of the problem we have and that doesn't get solved by throwing money at it. We would be in real danger of having a quarter of a billon worth of new players that don't fit into the system the next manager in after Moyes wants to play if next season continues on like this one and he's sacked.

A 200m war chest would be incredibly appealing to a lot of managers, if managing United wasn't already enough of a draw. Another season outside CL and 200m spunked and we would be in trouble.

Yeah Moyes will buy the right players. The problem is will he get them playing? It doesn't look like it based on this season, particularly since Christmas.
