Blood test wouldn't go amiss tang, you could be a bit low on iron or something.

Thinking same myself, i religiously took a multi-vitamin for years and stopped about a month ago. Possibly has something to do with it.

B, seriously, you should not be running if you are having dizzy spills ... get to a doctor and get it sorted out. That was a scary description and you know yourself it's not right, so don't ignore it!!!

I was told something similar by another Donegal woman yesterday evening, your advice is far more on the sympathetic side though. Both have the same message, thanks Anna.

Cheers DG & Kate, bloods taken at the doctors today so hopefully all will be ok, results will be back Friday morning. He said i'm good to run but if a dizzy spell appears stop and knock the run on the head.

Ha ha. That's brilliant! It was a super performance in the second half. It was like they won the All-Ireland at the end but in fairness 80 years of hurt needed to be celebrated well. I think they'll be doing well to keep it under 15 in the Final alrightd epends on the Dubs attitude really.

Glad you got the bloods done B. As others have said already, dizzy spells are not to be ignored. Hope it's nothing serious and just a passing bug or something. Look after yourself man!

    Monday 29.6.15

Rest, had bloods taken at doctors so wasn't running.

    Tuesday 30.6.15

    7miles@8.28min/miles in 59min 16secs

Told the Doc the day before about how i had stopped taking multi-vitamins, he said go back taking them as that may have been the cause of the bouts of dizziness. This was one of those runs that you dont want to end, glided along, miles 5 & 6 were in the 7.4x time but felt effortless so just went with it. No dizziness.

    Wednesday 1.7.15

    6x400m off 30 secs including w/u & c/d.

There was 4 of us down for this, Wednesday evening is racing night in Meath so there was a few away doing the 5k in South O' Hanlon. The session was to run these at faster than what your prescribed 400s should be, idea to take yourself out of your comfortzone. The recovery was short and made it tough going, reps were as follows:

    84, 79, 80, 79, 82, 77.

Eased into it on the first, fell asleep on the 5th!! Otherwise very happy with them, total session was 4.40miles and you think i went for a swim rather than a run the state of me by time i finished. Home to prepare for a hot date the following afternoon!!

    Today 2.7.15

    6.56miles@8.40min/miles in 56min 54secs

I was like a teenager getting ready for a first date all morning, the amout of outfits i tried on before i settled on one was ridiculous!! Waited in anticipation for the next message from my date to say they were on there way, quick brush of teeth & on with the best aftershave. Drove the short distance to Fureys Pub on the Royal Canal where the rendezvous was taking place.

I pulled into the carpark and as i stood out of the car he appeared, he was a cross between Richard Gere in An Officer and a Gentleman and Father Jack from Father Ted, the legend that is TbL. We took in over 6.5 miles along the canal from Fureys to just beyond Longwood Harbour, the conversation never let up the whole way & the run flew by. It was fantastic to have company on a run as i normally run solo.

He looked in good shape & talk of him reaching heavyweight status are grossly exaggerated. Thanks again for that today C, good run in great company. And he bought me Roses*

    Friday 3.7.15

    Rest

    Today 4.7.15

    8miles@7.58min/miles in 63min 47secs(including 2 x 2miles at LT)

Hadn't been looking forward to this all morning, went off and done the weekly shop by myself early and even at 8.30am it was warm and humid out. By time i got out at 12.30pm it was even warmer, picked an undulating route to do this, no such thing as a totally flat race in Ireland nor any point on taking it easy on myself. Nice easy mile to warm up and straight into the first two LT miles, eased into them rather than busting a gut from the start, both clocking at 6.54. Happy how they went and how comfortable it felt getting through them.

Took maximum rest of a mile between sets because of the heat, no point being completely sadistic on myself. The second set started at the bottom of a little climb, so again eased into it rather than flying up the hill & blowing up later. Gradually increased the pace and mile beeped in 7.03, into the next one and i started to feel it a bit just a little over half way through the mile, gritted the teeth and had a few choice words with myself. The pain subsided and mile clocked in at 6.59, all in all happy with how this went.

McMillan has me at between 6.55-7.04 for these, the first set were faster than they should but only by a second so i dont think its anything to worry about. All in all an enjoyable session and the one thing i was apprehensive about before i started, the heat, never came into my mind. Great the misus lets you run on our wedding anniversary, she did nail me this morning with the shopping in fairness!!!

"Mayo fine-tuned their preparations for the Connacht final by defeating Leinster finalists Westmeath in a behind-closed-doors challenge match in Castlebar at the weekend."

Mayo view themselves as an alleged Gaelic Football super power, in Premiership terms there a top four team. Now your bragging about beating a mickey mouse county team that has one provincial title to its name in a challenge game. Grasping at straws J.........

Ah now B, you'd almost think you were from Kerry with all this cute hoorism!!:P
In actual news, the Mayo S&C coach was confirmed yesterday as the new Arsenal S&C coach. Fair play to the lad from Ballaghdereen (The Mayo half!)!

Fair play is right, i see Ger Egan the Westmeath captain, done an interview in The 42.ie this morning. He reckons they have a great chance of winning Sunday & they will play there own game against the Dubs. It will be carnage if they do.

I think ye (like all counties) should concentrate on the small ball game. I see Westmeath gave Limerick a fair aul rattle on Sunday, dodgy goal notwithstanding.
