    Will McGregor be fit.....???

Yupp and fighting Aldo in the main event :pac:

Seriously, I really expect an update from Conor to say he will be fighting at this, hopefully that's what the visit to Cali was about.

Yeah McG will be fit however will he have a fight before then? Unlikely now.

If this ends up being a "Fight Night" i'll be so relieved!

MMAjunkie has it down as fight night Dublin but also there has been no UFC 176 or 177 announced but there is a UFC 178 in Vegas

Setanta immediately plastering Conor on their promo material. They'll probably have been briefed in terms of who to expect.

Dublin card could get anyone really, Coleman Rua was actually a big fight for us to get, not to mention Hendo and Franklin.

We might even get Rousey V Cyborg!!

My guess is Connor will be fighting someone from England

Whens the TUF 19 Finale ? It would never be that we get would it?

Edgar V Penn, Connor co eventing?

Wont Fields and Pendred be on the TUF finale card? How could they fight at this?

  • Registered Users Posts: 133 ✭✭chrisbag1986

they will keep connor for Dublin. no point him doing back to back camps after a acl.

I say dublin will get a good card as Dana loves the irish.

I'm going to give you the benefit of the doubt and label that as 'extreme sarcasm'. There's not a chance they'd put something like that in Dublin.

We wont know for a while i'd say. Best bet is McG on the card anyway

    Just a tad :D

Although I think we have a good enough chance of getting the TUF 19 finale

Since it's mid July and TUF 19 with both Fields and Pendred starts in April, isn't it quite likely that the Dublin show IS the TUF Finale?

Agree with that. Especially with the possibility that there will be an Irish finalist.

You're all nuts if you think that the UFC are going to have a TUF finale in Ireland.

It's not a regional edition of the show. They're not going to spoil it by bringing the finale to Ireland!

Imagine there was a TUF and there was one guy from Bolivia, don't you think the finale strangely being held in Bolivia would give the show away?

As much as I wish it would be I see two issues:

    1) It's always Vegas. It's the UFC's 'baby' so it's a big thing for it to be in Vegas
    2) IF Pendred or Fields made it to the final, it'd be pretty harsh on the other competitor (unless they're both in the final! ha) to suddenly move it to another country which benefits either

I really do reckon this will be a run of the mill Fight Night. Similar kind of structure to how the UK gets their cards. Card filled up with Irish fighters/fighters that have interest in Ireland (Seery, Gunni, Lauzon?, one or two new additions etc.), a big Irish interest fight as co-main (McGregor) and the a bigish fight for the main card. Like I said in the other thread, I'd expect a Top 5 fight in a division. Potentially a title eliminator or something to that nature.

That way the majority of fight fans are covered. In reality Conor doesn't need to be main event for this to be labelled 'his' event. Plus, in reality, he's not deserving of headlining a card. He's not even Top 10.

I almost certain it has been held in OZ and Canada, I could be wrong.
If I am don't worry Mellor will correct me, he always does. :D
