Dejavu against Shelbourne again. Owned the first half, missing at least three huge chances, Connolly smashed wide under little pressure, Sinnott toepoked wide and Faherty hit the crossbar. We needed to score and if we did I think we would have won comfortably.

Have to applaud Shelbourne they dug in and defended well, definitely rode their luck at times but took their goal well. I thought we were going to steal it with the corner at the end, would have been the least we deserved on the balance of the game. Time to move on and ensure we finish third now.

I thought we bossed the second half to be fair.

Bossed is going a little OTT. Naturally we had to come out after you scored and you were content to play on the break, mostly hitting balls long to Connolly and O'Sullivan.

We only have ourselves to blame, with the amount of chances we created in the first alone we should have easily been 2-0 up and it would have been deserved. We were way too wasteful on front of goal.

    Bossed is definitely going OTT.
For the first 10 minutes of the second half i thought Shels "bossed" the game, but the goal pretty much came against the run of play - and any chances after that were either a set piece or because of GFC being stretched pushing for an equaliser.

Maybe biased but i thought we deserved at least a draw from that.

4-1 or 0-3, take your pick...

14hrs 30mins or so I think now since Rovers B last scored

Still in the cups, so potentially 14 competitive games left to endure/be humiliated. Starting on Monday.

At least the next time the full time whistle goes against Limerick, that should be that.

Bohs away twice, Pats and Dundalk away plus Sligo home to come relativity soon. Wouldn't count on what you say.

I just checked the Rovers site for any indication that he had been sacked, or at least left off the team bus last night. No such luck.

By my reckoning, Crolly is the third longest serving manager in the league. And Kenny wasn't long in before him at Dundalk. That's bonkers.

I spared myself a trip to Limerick to watch Cork and Dundalk last night and wasn't disappointed. Both teams streets ahead of anyone else this season, and Dundalk look worthy league winners. Assuming that our season was always going to fall apart, it's positive. Cork are a big club and should be a force, while Kenny has shown that he's a top manager given an impossible job in Tallaght.

    Fenlon is available.

Buckley and Fenlon to be managing Rovers and Pats next year I'd guess, in what order I'm not sure.

I wouldn't be surprised if they talked to Kerr again either.

Word on the street it's a toss up between Fenlon and Baraclough

Fenlon isn't liked by some on the board

Forgot about Baraclough. Yeah, he's an option too.

Boh-yah! Derry back to winning ways thankfully, looked much better than they did against Shakhtar.

Hutton's doing a great job with them. Think that's 5 wins, 2 draws and two defeats in the league for him with the losses coming against Pats and Cork. Eight goals for Patterson as well who Roddy left out because the team weren't creating chances. Surely the Derry job was Roddy's last in the top division.

Since Shams have no original ideas of their own I'll go with Baraclough too.

If it's more endeavour and attack minded football that shams are looking for then Baraclough wouldn't be much of an improvement on Croly. Given that shams have a very decent squad he could push you on in the cups, before systematically dismantling all that's good about it.

Harsh on Baraclough. He was incredibly unfortunate with injuries.

He knows the game and he's an absolute gentlemen. He's also our most successful manager ever. He's already been ran out of the club to accommodate Paul cook's mate. Leave him be.

Great night last night at the Brandywell, we're playing some really entertaining football. A million miles from where we were with the spoofer in charge.

I'm all for Ian getting the job in tallaght.Just a shame the transfer window is shut. A great chance of shiftng Odhiambo onto them all but gone.

    Pity.

You signed players when you had no manager, i always wondered who was actually signing players for Rovers. Croly said he didnt want Zayed but Rovers still signed him.

I was happy when we signed him. Every manager signs players who don't work out.

Paul Cook signed a raft of ****e players in his early years but was given time. Expectation was less then.

How many of them do you think Kenny signed, and how many were brought in by the board? Incidentally, certain players on that list have since gone on to perform well elsewhere.
