I see we've gotten to the point where players are throwing in transfer requests due to concerns,so whats the correct etiquette here then?

How long has the lyon manager been there?

He's been in charge for 84 games according to the manager/club history so, given that the player in question has only played 7 league games in the last season and a half, I think it's fair to say that he doesn't quite feature in the manager's plans for the future.

    So have fun bidding!! :D:D

EDIT: Oh and, he's also transfer listed anyway!!

They automatically get transfer listed when then they reach level 5 concern dont they?

Worth noting, cause people have asked about him, De Marcos is a level 2 now, but has become my first choice left back so ignoring the concerns :P

Limited Funds + Limited Sellable Assets = Letting go of your best player

    Top Scorer
    Top Average Rating
    2nd in Assists
    Top Man of the Match

    for Anzhi.

If I can get a FC at 90+ and A N other 89/90 for the first XI then it's a sacrifice that I think will be worthwhile in the long term.

If not, then the only other option is to sit tight, hope I get player rating boosts from the existing squad and give it a season or two to generate some cash for purchases.

Just a quick question regarding ratings and so on. I've seen a lot of teams high up the table in both division 3 and 4 with very little 88+ players and some even have 85+ players that are banging in the goals. Is it all just tactics or what? I have a starting XI of three 89 rated players and eight 88 rated and can't seem to get going so just wondering

It's not the team with the best rating that will always win, sure that'd get very boring very fast. Tactics etc determine results too and also luck. Just like real life I suppose. Eireannbear winning the cup with Sunderland and Wigan winning the FA Cup in real life :)

Someone described the game as being like 'top trumps' in my first season (i.e. whoever has the highest player ratings wins) but it really isn't. I think I've built a decent side at Shakhtar but a couple of matches ago I lost comfortably in the league to a team who 1-11 my players were better than. I think it seems to be a combination of the ability of the players, fitness, morale, clash of tactics and a random element thrown in too.

Tactics and luck. My inter team beat chelsea last season and barca this time round. Both have far better teams

Ah ok cool. Time to adapt another gameplan then....

    *proceeds to sell best players*

*buys Igor Biscan and Djimi Traore for their Champions League experience*

Does playing squad members in friendly matches count towards alleviating concerns and preventing them in regards to lack of games concerns they can get?

I may be wrong but I'm 99% sure it does not.

Nilmar and D'Alessandro on the way to Genoa to boost my attacking options.

Not the youngest of lads but will come in handy.

Nilmar scored 2, D'Alessandro assisted 2 in a 3-0 friendly win at Aston Villa tonight.

My other recent signing Giovinco got sent off early doors though.

Quick question, what happens when your team have no money and the wages far exceed income? Are you forced to sell players?

Actually, I think you're pretty spot on. The aim is to lose the friendly because that usually means you'll win the following day's league match, or so the theory goes anyway!

BTW, I'm the Estudiantes manager. I do apologise!! :D I wouldn't worry too much though. I'm just the greatest manager that SM has ever seen!! :P :P

On a serious note though, just pick a formation that you're happy with and stick with it. Apparently, there are only a few managers on here that tinker with their formations and/or tactics for each game.

No, I think you just can't sign players because you've no money. Of course, the deeper you get into debt means it's much harder to get out of, and thus able to sign players again.

That said, you may be able to do straight swaps for another player, once you don't add any cash.

Taken from the Soccer Manager help section. It basically says exactly what I've said previously except phrased in a much more long-winded, and frankly quite boring, way.
Clubs can become saddled with debt due to financial mismanagement or a poor business model.

If a club is in debt, the Chairman will not sack their current manager nor will they force them to sell any of the club's players. However, the Chairman will take measures to prevent the club going into further debt by not sanctioning the purchase of any new signings.

It is also worth noting that if a club is in debt, then they will not enter into administration nor will they be forced to declare bankruptcy.

If a club is in debt, then it is up to their manager to review their financial management and business model in order to improve the club's finances and clear it's debt.

I thought I had a good formation but can't seem to score! Just have to try out a few things!

You can't bid while in debt, whether it's cash or swaps.

Would have been nice to put another 2pts between myself and the foot of the table ... but I'll take not loosing

Sir Bobby Robson earned a draw with FC Porto against Bayer Leverkusen.
The match ended 2 - 2 between FC Porto and Bayer Leverkusen in their Division 1 fixture.
De Bruyne scored a goal and was later voted Man of the Match for his performance.
Salah was also on the scoresheet for his side.
