    Maths P1 (Examcraft)

Was it just me or were some of the questions on ExamCraft Maths Paper 1 extremely vague? The integration by area was very badly phrased and in Sequences and Series Q9 I was unsure whether new tiles were added to existing patterns to create new patterns or if every new pattern was made entirely of new tiles? There was also a mistake on Q9.

Are DEB and examcraft the only two companies that do the mock papers? Because there were boxes in our school that said 'Examinations.ie' and I'm wondering if that could be it.

gone through this post and i cant find anything on Art History! Anyone have any updates/info on Art History?

I only looked at the first 3 Q's that I knew I could answer and didn't bother reading the rest due to time pressure but the ones I chose went something like this:

    Section 1:

Bronze age - two pre-Christian metalwork pieces on sheet were the
    glenisheeghan gorget&the gold dress fastener

Brief description from the time they were made

    Know form,technique, material, function (etc)

Name one other piece of pre-Christian metalwork and briefly describe

    Section 2:

Romanesque sculpture avoiding realism&not portraying the human figure in
    a natural way

Discuss this statement with 2 examples of Romanesque sculpture

Discuss briefly the difference between Romanesque and gothic sculpture
    Section 3:

Galleries may leave out certain individuals of our cultural world

Discuss this statement with reference to an exhibit you recently visited
how the layout and presentation would heighten/detract from the
    works to some groups visiting

Describe two pieces from the exhibition that would appeal
specifically to either children OR elderly people

The theorem that comes up is no. 12 about proving sides are in proportion. you need to know a good bit of statistics and probability for paper 2, there are questions on z scores, know the perpendicular lines formula ax+by+c= bx-ay+k
need to know the proof of tan(A+B)
and how to do compound angles with tan, must rationalise the denominator on these questions, there is a q on tree diagrams, the circle, co ordinate geometry, q7 is very difficult

hi so I did DEB MATHS PAPER 1 today.... Deadly.

    spoilers:
question 1: grand was just algebra solve for x and then sketch f'(x) and f''(x) on the graph
question 2: complex numbers. difficult. ' geometric sequence ' including complex numbers. use de moivre to find missing a and b where z^6 = a +bi. write complex no in polar form.
question 3: inequality question along with function question. not too bad
question 4: sequences and series. differentiate squared root of e. differentiate xsin2x ( this is uv ) then there was small bit integration
not sure now of 5 and 6
question 7: horrible, on logs and rate of change, yuck
question 8: logs- counting trout, grand, just tedious
question 9: this was to do with speed velocity and like one of those qs where they give velocity is given by (3 functions depending on what t value ) last part of this question a bit of functions

As you can see I'm actually kinda confused as to what came up it was such a blur. hopefully over 50 percent anyway.

    was this HL or OL?
