Stop ruining my hopes and dreams!

Sean Waltman predicted about 4 years ago that TNA's video library would be WWE's soon enough!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,301 ✭✭✭✭gerrybbadd

I reckon the TNA Video library would be a great addition. To fill out back stories for the likes of Samoa Joe, AJ etc alone, it'd be worth it

While I agree, it would be a long time before WWE accuire it if ever. TNA arent going out of business just yet

By that time Joe and Stykes could be long gone

Yeah, I mean it looks like TNA are on their last legs, but it's looked like that for years and yet they are still going. Sometimes I'm doubtful TNA will ever die, and will outlive everything else just through persistence.

TNA are financially in a better position now than they have been in a long time. If they go under now, it would be by choice rather than forced upon them. As for the library, Vince absolutely would buy it. He likes to own everything on tape even if it'll never see the light of day again.

    Or precisely for that reason.

Wow wasn't expecting that. Has great potential. Let's hope they take it seriously and not have Hornswoggle as one of the 32 :pac:

Interview with hhh on pwinsider of all places seems like it will have outsiders too which I would think will be mostly evolve guys since there seems to be a working relationship there.

I usually enjoyed the cruiserweight stuff, bar that sad period for the title towards the end.

I know big show gets **** from fans but I'm really love hearing him talk about his career and he's clearly a good person and I love that he made a joke of the fact he turns at the drop of a hat. When he retires from the ring he'll be a big asset(no pun intended) to wwe.

Hornswaggle finally defends. Entrants to consist of Tigre Uno, Trevor Lee, etc?

  • Moderators, Sports Moderators Posts: 18,716 Mod ✭✭✭✭DM_7

La Sombra to debut and win the Tourney?

    Beat Neville in the final.

Is it going to serve as a vehicle for WWE to put their own guys over the Evolve guys and other outsiders that they bring in? It would be cool if they brought back the championship again.

I imagine that would be the next logical step if the series does well on the network. All and all I'm impressed with the quality of original shows and concepts the network has come up with so far.

The Network keep telling us to watch Rey Mysterio's story so maybe we will get some returns like him or Tajiri. Maybe even Jamie Noble.

Seeing as Ray has signed a two year deal for Lucha Underground I can't imagine we'll be seeing him. Noble could be a good shout.

Reports are that he is not getting paid by AAA. Lucha Underground tape loads of shows together so its not like working for them is a full time gig.

I remain hopeful. It would be great to see him work with some of the young guys and get it saved in the vault for years to come.

Looking at Mascarita Sagrada, there's no reason why Hornswoggle couldn't actually be decent.

The DVD documentary on the network is worth a watch. Covers some of his health issues a bit deeper. Powerslam magazine claimed in 1999 that the deal he signed that year was for €900k per year for ten years. Whatever the figure, it was big and they wasted him almost immediately.

They have different body composition though. Hornswoggle can't move like that.

The part with his dad though, I almost lost it along with him, it was so sad. You all need to do yourselves a favour and watch it, you won't regret it.
    Does it cover this?!

This is basically all I know of the Big Boss Man other than him being a crap character in smackdown 1 and 2, was he actually brilliant?

The idea that lads like Ricochet, Will Ospreay etc could well come in for this tournament makes it quite exciting.

Weight limit is 205 so that rules out some of the "smaller" WWE guys, Ziggler and the likes.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 30,136 ✭✭✭✭CastorTroy

    Is Matt Hardy eligible?

Ricochet is signed to LU in a seven(!!!) year contract. The only way out would be if LU weren't paying him on time like Del Rio. Ospreay has just signed with NJPW as TNA found out when they tried to sign him.

Considering WWE have probably in excess of 100 people under contract or per appearance deal (Gargano etc.) there is no reason for them to have to bring in outside talent. They should be more than able to fill a tournament with people they already have.

    It's pretty close.

Neville, AJ, Kalisto, Balor, Itami, Aries, Tyler Breeze, Rich Swann, Ciampa, Gargano, Ziggler, Zayn, Gable, Rey(if he comes back), Sin Cara, Kofi, Xavier Woods and maybe 6-8 of the jobbers they use on NXT TV and house shows is all I can think of off hand.

You could bring in the likes of Liger, Juvi, Chavo if they're still able to go I suppose.

And some of those fall over the 205 limit but you can get around that.

Yeah of course he couldn't do those kind of things in the ring. But I'm sure he'd be well able to put on a decent match with a regular sized person if he was given the chance to. Will of Good Will Wrestling said before (and I have no first-hand knowledge of this, I know) that Hornswoggle was actually good in ladder matches before he signed with WWE, when he was working on the independents.

Yeahhhh, I don't want to see him on my television thanks. My mind has only been erased of every single wretched skit during the dark days in 2009-2010 when he was on every show.
