Sounds like it was a great game.

Vincents hang on and should be hot favourites for the final.

Other Semi should be a close one as well.

I was only following it on a feed. I'd say it was a great game. Whelan must have been a huge loss at half-forward. See Brennan was left over to score a point

Was it harsh on Whelan?. Sounds like a stupid attempt to level something sending off mossy

Some great scores but pretty poor game overall i thought. Connolly lit the place up with his 4 points but other than that both sides were very tentative.

Brennan wasn't the difference between the two sides or anything but when you watch him kick every possession accurately it rams home what Ballymun lack. Their hand passing game is just too slow.

From BK's point of view I thought Davy Byrne black was a bigger loss than Whelan.Whelans 2 yellows came from a schmozzle and clothes lining DC, only himself to blame. But Byrne was the link player early on and fed some lovely ball into the attacking 3rd - him off and the pace of the attacks suffered with laboriously slow hand passing. But once again the game was there for their taking, but in fairness Vins finished the stronger and but for the wide count probably were 3 points better. In saying that a single goal would've won that game and it was BK that threatened to score it.

It was not harsh on Whelan he basically did a wrestling "clothesline" move on connolly high on the neck.

It was not a great game overall. Some terrible wides especially by Vincents.
The game was odd because when ballymun went a man down they played better, then when Vincents had mossy sent off vins played better keep ball better control and movement.
Rock, Connolly, and McCarthy had good games. Rock was particularly good when he was forced to play deeper. He fired a great long ball to Furman second half but Furman made a mess of it.

Guff about stuff, and stuff about guff.

Heard Byrne black card was for next to nothing?

Ballymuns set up until the sending off was strange. There were just 2 backs and 2 forwards inside their 45 and they looked wide open. Quinn had a couple of bad wides and Vins could/should have had a goal in this period. They pushed up high on Vincents which was dangerous against a kick passing team like Vins.
They looked much more solid at the back after the sending off, but were very limited in attack at this point.

Was only an average game I thought.
Connollys points were very good to be fair. Anyone hear attendance figure? Huge crowd

Just back from the match. Was two good teams but neither really went to win it and both afraid to loose the game. Vincents greater efficiency in scoring and holding onto possession got them over the line in the end. Don't look like half as good a side as the all Ireland winning team but on flip side won't meet a better side than ballymun till all ireland semi finals possibly if they get that far. Ger Brennan very impressive at 6 and his foot passing is brilliantly accurate. How Barley stayed on pitch for full game was baffling. Didn't win one ball all night that went in his way.

Great game. Mad to see huge numbers of people being turned away from a county semi final!

Dermie saved them. Brilliant exhibition of point taking in second half.

If Ted had put that one in the net, it was game over. Vinnies would have had to come looking for a goal.

Were people turned away at gate? Good crowd there but in no way full. Plenty space on terracing behind goals and even on main terrace. Midweek matches are best thing Dublin gas have ever done as so many neutrals in Dublin will go to get to see a good game and good value at €10 aswell. Would be great if they pushed them back to 7 45 throw in just to give people extra bit of time to get there after work and so lot of post work traffic is cleared in town and on M50. Know lot of mates who drove up from Laois Westmeath and midlands to see tonights game.

Got texts from people who were told turnstiles were closed. Mind you, they arrived ten minutes late but said there were hundreds outside who weren't let in. Hard to see where there was room for any more!

Good argument for Spawell perhaps although it is hard place to get to.

A decent game of football,a soft night ,a good crowd,10 euro in ,students 5 euro, children free, what more do ye want?
Davey byrne was lording it in the middle of the field before the black card.tbf I thought that card was very harsh.
Overall I thought the Vins deserved to win the game, always felt they had too much nous for the mun.
The Ballymun brains trust on the line do not have have a clue.I was behind the Ballymun dug out and mid way in the first half I
hear a roar from the Mun's manager and I kid you not

Ye are f**king respecting them too much!

That type of talk(shoite) went out with the ark mate.

    Tactics Dear Boy?

I've been to games in PP where there were hundreds, even thousands more in the terraces. If you have a free step in front and behind on the halfway line, as I did, you know its not near full. Great crowd though.

Is Mossy suspended for the final due to the two yellow cards, or does it have to be a straight red?

Maybe people don't like being near you :)

Seriously though, where we were it was like Hill in old days. Cheek to cheek!

Looking forward to this evenings match. Can't imagine PP will be as packed as it was last night, but we've a few busloads coming in from Castleknock.

Nice preview on Grassroots GAA. Judes rightly favourites, but I'd expect they will have to perform well in order to beat our lads.

Judes defence was excellent against Crokes. They don't have many 'stars', but make good use of what they do have and of course young Kevin is a handful!

There was even some outside Dublin at it... there were two meath auld fellas beside me in thier clubs tracksuits.

They assured me that a lot of Meath people come to see Dublin club games!

I said to myself: Jayus they must not be taking enough notes on how its done.

    :D

Guff about stuff, and stuff about guff.

Jaysis lad, I'd say its bad enough for those actually at the game not to mind torturing yourself trying to listen to it on the radio.
