What i find curious is how Floyd has tweaked his training, he's put on a lot more muscle and gone back doing things like chopping wood ect, Maybe a sign he really wants to go for the stoppage and make a statement. One advantage Manny has on Floyd is the corner, I'v never rated Sr as a trainer, frankly i think Floyd is just so gifted anyone could have made him champion, Roach on the other hand is the best in the game, he managed to get a faded ODLH to really push Mayweather so if Manny can win he certainly has a trainer who can give him the right tactics.

Is this an interrogation now? Feck off.

Unexciting, and inspiring yes. If it inspires you then I'm very happy for ya.

Accept it or don't. By the way, who's said he's the best in his 'subject area'? Oh, himself. LOL

Hotels and casinos in Vegas lobby to have the fight there because they make huge money. It goes beyond revenue from ticket sales.

It's still an advantage for Mayweather no matter how you look at it.

Yep they are charging 150 dollars pp to watch it in the hotels. There are up to 50,000 in Vegas with no ticket. That's a lot of ten dollar drinks etc.

That may be so, but the reason it's on in Vegas is because it makes the most amount of money.

    It's a discussion forum, I thought we were having a discussion ?
It's not uncommon in any walk of life, that when someone makes a statement they are expected to use some source of reference or validation to back up their opinions.

I'm much more inspired by boxers I like, but he's certainly an inspiration to many and an example of what hard work and dedication (to steal the annoying catchphrase of his camp) can achieve. I'm also puzzled somewhat, one minute your telling me to feck off and the next you're happy for me :P

He's not the best in his area anymore imo, but I've already stated that. However It was the general consensus in boxing after Bernard Hopkins loss to Jermain Taylor that Floyd Mayweather was the #1 p4p fighter in the World. Now I personally held Erik Morales in that position at the time, but that was perhaps a bias of mine. Morales' inexplicable loss to Zahir Raheem 2 months later removed all doubt in even the small % of the boxing population who didn't hold Floyd aloft as the best in the business at the time.
Now I don't consider Floyd the best ever by any means, and I don't consider him the best p4p right now (most do), but if one was to say he wasn't boxing's best at some point in his career ?, well that would be ridiculous.

For Vegas though. Fair enough, now I see why the commission and MGM are so cosy with Floyd.

There was talk of it being at the Dallas Stadium one time, that would have made it far more accessible to the fans

Al's great and I've always been a fan of his. I have to say Paulie Malignaggi is someone who deserves singling out as a fantastic analyst. Can give some very subtle detail that you don't get with anyone else.

Every person in the crowd out with the phone. Ugh, can't anyone live in the moment any more. It's not like there isn't going to be any other footage of it.

I don't know, Floyd seems humble but confident. Manny seems happy the fight is going ahead. Dodged the question about size.
Someone said here earlier about mannys last pay day. As a Pac man fan, it sounded like that...

Was there a reason why Bruce Buffer was annoincing for Manny's walk in and another guy for Mayweathers?

Anyone notice Floyd's walkout into the arena and the very odd embraces he exchanged along the way? He hugged two people on his way out who werent expecting nor seemed too happy about being hugged :pac:

HBO and showtime co-promotion. Last time I remember it like this was Tyson vs Lewis

Manny was like a little kid at a store...arms raised, smiling, even thanking Floyd for fighting him. He's hilarious. Floyd looked a little nervous. Both look to be in great shape.

He didn't dodge it, he just didn't quite understand the question the 1st time round. When Kellerman repeated the question a 2nd time, Pac answered it.
