Not a bad point actually. I can't quite put my finger on it but I agree with Nigel to an extent, I just get the impression that Pacquiao is winding down from boxing and has so many other distractions as well as a potential lack of hunger, he seems completely satisfied with his legacy as it is, and in fairness to him, it's one of the best.

Mayweather is different though. He might be a prick, but he is serious about his boxing - he's a single minded fanatic. He doesn't record songs, he doesn't coach basketball, he isn't a member of parliament (!) etc. He eats and sleeps and lives the sport, to the point he'll leave night clubs at 3am to go running. The man is ultra cautious and probably the most methodical man in boxing history, despite accusations of being solely materialistic, I think his undefeated legacy is of massive importance; it's a major part of his psyche as a person even.

I think if anyone is going to show up lacklustre in this fight, it won't be Floyd.

He's too wrapped up in god and religions, mayweather looks like he means business he's not taking this fight lightly, I think PAC is just happy with the payday and will retire after this, also mayweather has more attributes in this fight

Didn't get that impression myself at all, Manny is always smiley and talking about god ect, I think motivation won't be a problem for either, Manny has waited 5 years for this add to that the influence of Roach i'm sure Manny is more motivated then he has been in years. Same with Mayweather i'd expect.

Pacquiao has no hunger in him to win this fight, I'm going stick a monkey on mayweather KO/TKO 11/2

Still, if you stick £500 on a Mayweather KO in a specific round you're f*cking mental.

On a side note is their a greater rags to riches story then Pacquiao? Not just talking about the money he's earned but i mean look at his life and childhood, from selling donuts on the street to being one of the ATG fighters, a worldwide icon and congressman. Surely one of the most inspiring stories not just in sport but in life.

Any round going to cover the bet with mayweather decision also can't see it going any other way unless there's a corrupt draw, just have a feeling PAC going to get caught coming in wildly.

Not just that, his career has been mind blowing like. He fought a plethora of Hall of Famer Mexican hardcases and gave us some thrilling fights as well as retiring De La Hoya when nobody gave him a chance (I'd him backed!) and countless other unreal scraps. From flyweight to welter like, what a rise.

    Another boring press conference
Pacquiao has no hunger in him to win this fight

I disagree, he's been more for focused in training camp than he has in years

My breakdown (I have no qualifications to do this)

Manny is there because he needs this fight.. he needs it to be a big draw again. It's his retirement party, his last big payday. Unfortunately for him though, he's lost size and power for some reason (go figure right? I'm not accusing him though, I have no proof, just puzzles me is all), and Floyd has been tormented with his name for years now, and will make an example of him - as sinister as that sounds I believe he will put a beating on him and Manny will quit on his stool if he's not KO'd by the late rounds.

I believe we will see Floyd:
bully him on the inside - Manny just shells up (uppercuts and hooks to the body all night - watch the Bradley fight for this, and Floyd is like Bradley's father when it comes to this)
take away his left hand by angling to the left and punishing the body (when inside and with his pretty much trademark low jab - like mosley did successfully in places)
and of course land right hands (if algieri could do it..)

Manny can only fight at mid-range.. You know who's great at avoiding that?
Manny is well and truly f$%#ed in this fight. Literally the only thing he has going is his athleticism and landing a haymaker early on.

But again, just imo, no qualifications to be saying this stuff.

Good breakdown kev also pacs head is a lot bigger than mayweather so will be target practice for floyd IMO.

I know this is a long shot but is there anyway I can legally pay for this fight without a UPC or SKY subscription?

I don't have Sky or UPC of any kind because I watch all my television via internet television. If I have to I'll watch the fight on an illegal stream but I would like to pay for a legal good stream if its possible at all.

That is a poorly informed opinion I must say.

It's free to view in Mexico so if you can find a Mexican stream it won't be an illegal stream but other than that I don't know.

Like can I buy the fight off Sky and stream it on sky website?

Will you be watching with your friends? Or will you be watching it on your own at home?

Will you be drinking for it or do you want to watch it sober so you can take it all in and remember it all?

At home with the bird and few of the lads.Plenty booze and if I start getting drowsy before 5am I have some amphetamines put away for back up.

No, its not on sky go.

Been told the ring walks are expected around 4am this time. Scratch what I said earlier. Apparently the PPVs are going out an hour earlier these days, also the undercard is very short and Santa Cruz should KO the guy they've brought in for him.

I'd love to see Manny win, but I think Floyd in a SD is most likely. Hopefully it isnt boring as usual with Floyd. If its in anyway close I expect a draw so I might stick a few quid on that.

A Pacquaio win by KO would be the most amazing moment to witness.

    Ah crap :(

Looks like it will be a crap dodgy stream for me then. Its mad that in this day and age there isn't a place online that you can pay to stream a massive sporting event. Then companies complain when they lose money to illegal streams.

There is definitely places you can get paid HD streams even but it might depend on your internet connection. Its only Thursday at this point so keep looking I've never actually used them but I know others who have.

This aint the fight for a dodgy stream IMO, be worth the 3 or 5 quid or whatever.

I would have been happy to pay the money for a legal reliable stream in HD but if companies are stuck in the past and aren't offering paid streams then they are going to be losing money. I haven't had a television package in two years now because I use various forms of internet media for my television viewing.

I am really looking forward to this fight but sucks I'll have to watch it in about 240p on a crap stream, unless I possibly get lucky on the night and find a good stream.

I'll have a look see if I can find a paid for stream on Saturday legit or not legit. I'd happily pay the 25 for a good stream, I'm really looking forward to this fight and don't want to have it ruined by a bad stream.

This would be great for me too, I have been trying to find somewhere in Galway to watch it but am having no luck.

That's not really a retort, is it?

I found the opinion to be thought out and educated and passionate. Whether I agree with it or not is irrelevant. For the most part I do agree with it. Some very salient and detailed and technical points made.

Paulie Malignaggi was on Sky last night saying almost the same thing. He got his points across very well. Manny is indeed a mid range fighter, but with Floyd's range and use of range Manny will find it very difficult to get into a comfortable and "safe" attacking position. Manny has a very weak inside game. He just doesn't like being inside. He gets inside and decides to stay a second or two longer than normal, and IMO he gets tagged and hurt there by Floyd, who is IMO deal better and more comfy on the inside, as well as being stronger and bigger.

This fight will see Manny on the outside trying desperately to get close to unload his combinations. Can Floyd keep him that little bit farther back, or can Manny use his quick feet and hands to get in and out fast enough all night? I say Manny cannot. Floyd uses his considerable reach and range advantage to keep Manny at bay for most of this fight.

Edit: Panic E was referring to Kev's take on the whole Manny and losing his power/size for some reason......I reckon it's more a case that Manny may have looked better against much easier to tag opponents like Oscar and Margarito and Hatton. As to losing size? Not sure how that is clear with Manny now and Manny a few years ago.

Lost size? There is literally no basis whatsoever for saying that.
