Arsenal cover? There are only 2 Arsenal attacking players worth getting this gameweek. Cover isn't really an issue. If you think Walcott or Podolski will score well, get them. If you don't, steer cleer of Arsenal.

Looks like I'll bring in Santi for Silva and hope for the best.. Already have Theo and hoping Arsenal can run riot..

How sure are we that Podolski will play, has Wenger given us the heads up?

When I bring in Arteta and he scores 2 penalties and a delicious assist for Walcott we shall revisit this :pac:

Boring transfer this week. Rosenior to Ward in hope of a cleanie so I can bench Silva instead of transferring him out and back in.

Was watching that movie Rush earlier and on one of the tracks Crystal Place popped up on the screen while looking to see what transfer I'd do this week. I'm taking it as a sign. So Ward cleansheet and goal from a corner tomorrow against Norwich. Looked and Palace have some good upcoming home fixtures.

Wenger has confirmed that Theo is struggling with a shoulder injury.

He'll have a late fitness test.

    My midfield currently reads:

Ozil (out), Silva (out), Walcott (doubt), Ravel (doubt) and Sterling (played every game over xmas).

If this wasn't so tragic it'd be hilarious

In a pickle this week. Have silva suspended and both Walcott and Ravel injury doubts. Had planned on using my free transfer to bring a keeper in for Marshall (ars). If the above 3 dont start I'll have Terry (sou) Dawson (mun) coming off the bench. And will have no subs left if hazard or someone else doesn't start. Should I get rid of morrison/silva for a guranteed starter and go with MArshall away to Arsenal? Or should I bring in a sub goalie and take my chances on the outfielders?

    Team is:

    Marshall Myhill

    Coleman Kompany Bardsley (Terry) (Dawson)

    Walcott Morrison Fer Hazard (Silva)

    Negredo Suarez Lukaku

PS wouldn't normally have so much in defense took a short-term punt on Kompany before my WC.

    Morrison out Sterling in.

Sterling a certain starter and is playing well and getting chances and the odd goal and assist.

    A snip at 5.2m imo

I have Walcott and Rooney as doubts, and slight doubt hanging over Suarez.

I've no problem with either Walcott OR Rooney not playing as Gabbindon comes in against Norwich (H). If any more than 1 of my starting 11 doesn't play I'll be struggling though, bench is Morrison who is unlikely to play and Chester who is up against Mr Suarez.

Arsenal injury crisis for New Year's Day clash against Cardiff
Aaron Ramsey, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, Mesut Ozil, Olivier Giroud and Kieran Gibbs all ruled out, while Arsene Wenger awaits late tests on Nacho Monreal, Thomas Vermaelen, Tomas Rosicky, Jack Wilshere and Theo Walcott

Suarez and Henderson limped back onto the team bus after Chelsea game. Henderson has been playin with injections for past few weeks but got caught by a nasty tackle by eto'o.

I'd be fairly sure both will play tomorrow. Liverpool haven't much choice with gerrard (May be back tomorrow), sturridge and Allen out and Rodgers clearly doesn't trust Alberto, Aspas and Moses has been terrible.

I think both Suarez and Walcott are almost certain to start simply because of the lack of other options to replace them. If Suarez doesn't start up front, who plays instead of him? They'll play him with all sorts of knocks as a result and just hope to get away without him until the 11th. I'd say with Ozil, Giroud, Ramsey out, the same will apply to Walcott.

This all works under the assumption that they can't be completely crocked because they're doubtful rather than out.

Henderson should be ok for tomorrow according to LFC official site. Sakho and Allen injured, the severity not yet known.

    Nothing mentioned about Suarez whatsoever.

It'll be known fairly shortly from training photographs

Walcott was pictured training today so hopefully he's good to go tomorrow.

    I freakin' hope so..

Have one FT with with 1 suspended and 2 injured players..

Which means both Dawson and Chester get subbed in and I'm expecting big 0's from them :(

Have a look at their injury list. Only negative is that Bendtner is almost certain to start too.

If bendtner is starting I am going to double up on cardiff defenders

There you have it really. Walcott will be playing tomorrow. Mulling over the idea of a one week punt for Bendtner or Podolski instead of Dzeko, if I could find any sort of indication other than my own instinct that Dzeko will play though, I would have to knock that idea on the head.

Tempted to put Marshall in the goal instead of Mignolet:D
    Liverpool is in trouble too.

Mignolet had not kept a many clean sheets since I bought him. He is one player going when I play my wildcard

Will do the same, Marshall got me 3 points in each of last 2 games, good result for the price. Had more important transfers to make, so Mignolet had to stay. Will get rid in January for either Szczesny or DeGea, depends on how they perform.

Edit - actually Marshall got me 2 and 3, still not too bad.

Head is wrecked this week, can't get Hazard without 3 transfers of low value players or 2 transfers and getting rid of a big striker like Negredo or Rooney, which I don't really want to so. Does everyone have him?

Clean sheets not as plentiful as they were last year. If you had stoke, chelsea, man city, West Ham and arsenal defenders last year you were guaranteed 3 clean sheets a week. Nobody nailed on for a clean sheet this year

I'm sure you can live without him for a week.

I don't have him but considering getting him in. Wouldn't take an 8 point hit for him.

Walcott will score double digit points tomorrow. I can feel it.

I've said that every week for a month and he seems to get 10 pts each week without fail. He is probably a player for the rest of the season.
