    Anybody considering Coleman to Baines?

Baines 13% ownership is surely mostly zombies, everybody has Coleman now and very few will double up on them surely at those prices, he'll probably come in on a number of wildcards but the Everton clean sheets(or lack of) is very worrying.

Think I'll have to play WC tonight. Lukaku has had his last chance too.

Draft for my wildcard - thoughts? I'm not convinced, particularly with gk's/backline. Thinking of playing 3-5-2 or 3-4-3 depending on the week. Behind by about 40 points in the league so I know I can win with a little bit of change

    Mannone (4.4) McGregor (4.5)

    Koscielny (5.4) Chesters (3.9) Ward (4.1) Coleman (5.8) Williamson (4.4)

    Yaya Touré (9.3) Oscar (8.7) Lallana (7.1) Navas (8.3) Cabaye (6.7)

    Rooney (11.2) Suárez (13.0) Rodriguez (6.1)

This leaves 0.2 in the bank

A lot of love in this forum for Mannone. Sunderland are terrible and still probably go down. I can't see too many clean sheets from them.

I'm slowly rising up the rankings, should be in the top 200k by the end of this gameweek. I was going to leave my wildcard but I'm very tempted to use it now. What do people think?

    Going from this:

    bu78.png

    To this:

    gw9d.png

This leaves me 1.2m in the bank, but will prob do Silva -> Hazard which will leave me with .2m.

Also, the 11 days to increase my value as people knee jerk to the FA Cup and the likes. My one concern is having no City attacking cover, but I can't afford Silva and Hazard, and I think Hazard is definitely worth it, not sure about that one.

But, but he's had 5 clean sheets in his 10 games, seems todays goal was a defensive cock up as well, great fixtures for the next 5 weeks as well, great business at the moment in my opinion for 4.4m.

Even when he doesn't keep a clean sheet, he's good for save bonuses.

I'll probably get him myself as back up to Szcz. He'll not play but I'll need somebody for rotation if I sell Szcz at any stage and there isn't great options out there for cheap money.

I've 2 FTs at the minute and quite happy with my squad in general, so I can't see myself playing the WC until the end of the month. I'd also be one of those in favour of getting rid of it tbh. There should only be one WC available, playable whenever the user wishes.

Aiming for something like the below now when I play it, I've changed it about 100 times I know :pac: I'll likely switch Clyne though. If only Aguero was fit now I'd be primed to pull the trigger.

Well, rather than having 2 relatively weak FF players in Rodriguez and McCarthy, you could go completely weak with 1 of them and bring in 1 really strong player. You're not going to need 8 attacking players ever. You have to have 3 defenders.

You could ditch McCarthy for that 4.1 Villa midfielder and with only a small bit of value tinkering get Remy.

Alternatively, you could go the other way, get rid of Rodriguez for Chamakh, and afford Ramsey, Lallana or Cabaye.

I'm not a fan of going for 1 really weak cheap player myself, but it is a better option than having to go for 2 relatively weak 1s due to a lack of value in the team.

Chelsea defence have really got their act together lately, I'd been looking for the right time to dump Terry but I think I'll be keeping him now, hasn't been in the goals enough but that will change I'd say.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,268 ✭✭✭IsMiseMyself

To-ing and fro-ing between going with 3-5-2 or 3-4-3. That determines what I do next. Half-tempted by 3-5-2, but that depends on Eriksen maintaining the bit of form he seems to have found. 3-4-3 is gonna be capped off with Aguero, Rooney, and then Ade, probably. Hm.

I'm definitely keeping him now. He was very close to being shipped but decent returns means I've forgotten those plans.

It's only a matter of time until he scores a goal some GW and scores big too.

I'm gonna downgrade to Cahill, he's .7m cheaper.

Hadn't intended playing the WC yet but I want to get in YaYa and Hazard and both are likely to rise this week I'd say, so it is forcing me into it tonight :( Should I try and hold off?

Is it worth doing the WC for these changes:

Ridgewell -> Kolorov (with a view to switching to Nastasic before deadline)
Moxey -> Ward (Moxey doesn't play, ward does)
Jedinak -> Mutch (No potential in Jedinak bar the 2 points. Assist today though!)
Lukaku -> Adebayor (Sick of Lukaku)
Daniels -> Mannone (Need a backup that plays)

    So it's this:

Luiz will still play a lot of games, he played in centre mid the other day and did very well but I wouldn't be confident in Cahill playing more than 66% of the time. Azpil and Cole played today so Ivan could even make a return to Centre back, if he gets a chance there he could make it his own. Terry is safe, he'll be rested in the cup but will play almost every minute in the league, he's worth the difference in price IMO

    Welcome to the forum:p
That's what I'll do also seeing as I have a healthy and good team at the moment, no need for surgery until I see who's coming into the league.

Yes as Lemlin said. You need to spend the next 9 days watching total FPL for price changes and then pick your team on the Friday, good luck!

if playing it this gameweek I think you need to do it tonight. Get in lads that look like they may go up .2. For example sagna and wellbeck over ade and kolarov. Both sagna and wellbeck go up tonight and may well go up again before ade and kolarov go up so keep an eye on total fpl.

Not really tbh. I don't think Pellegrini will rush him back. They were talking on The Sunday Supplement one week there lately and some of the journos commenting mentioned hoping he'd be back for the CL game against Barca which is February.

    This report backs that up:

    http://m.bleacherreport.com/articles/1888785-sergio-aguero-injury-updates-on-manchester-city-stars-leg-and-return

He was due to miss six weeks so that's around the end of January.

Have most of my wildcard teams set-

Just a choice between whether or not to keep Ramsay. Planning keep for a few weeks as lot of people have sold.

And Rooney or Ade, if Ade keeps up form he must be a must. And would allow me to upgrade defence but think if Rooney hits a patch of form I wont be able to work him back in with Suarez and Aguero up top.

If your only making those transfers I wouldnt bother, your probably best waiting till the end of Jan. Your only really changing lukaku to ade of your attacking players and a bit of messing about with bench players. A 4 pt hit would suffice.

To compare with me Im changing my 2 keepers, dawson, johnson, clyne, maybe ollson and terry, sterling and cabaye( tomorrow when they get their rise) and rooney and dzeko.

Hard to know what to do with Rooney now, tempted to sell but options limited up top it is hard to nail a replacement.

ollson-sagna (looking for a .2 rise, wont keep)
    clyne- ward(keep)
    dawson-skrtel( .2 rise wont keep)

    oscar- yaya(.2 rise wont keep)

Ya. Cheers. I've another couple of hours to decide. Just unsure after making such a mess of last WC. Team is actually OK apart from the bench players.

my plan before today was rather than rooney and cabaye go ozil and ade. What happened to ade today didnt see the game. I reckon for me there is no point in having over 10 million invested in a striker if you will never captain him.

Right I am going to keep Krul, Coleman, Chester, Hazard, Yaya, Walcott, Suarez and Rooney.
Then with the WC was thinking of doing this:
    Harper > Mannone
    Kompany > Zab
    Luna > Whittaker
    Flanagan > Kos
    Cabaye > Eriksen
    Lukaku > Adebayor
    Bannan > Johnson

    worth it?

    Something like
    mannone marshall
    azpil nastasic koscielny( ward chester)
    silva walcott ozil hazard( livermore)
suarez ade( if fit) lukaku or negredo.
Aguero will be in as soon as he is fit.

Definitely looks better, but do fear Welbeck being dropped once RVP comes back. Either way, use the TotalFPL site to try bring up your value over the course of the week and a half and see what that can add to your team.
