Looks like it's only for Twinings tea

    Thanks for the heads-up anyway.

Use TASSIMO10 discount code. If you spend over £35 online you get £10 off. Even better than free shipping.

Ordered 27ukp worth last night and used a 10ukp voucher from my last order to take the total to 17ukp. Was not charged shipping.

Is TASSIMO10 an ongoing discount I wonder?

Anywhere handy to get Latte mugs that would hold the 330ml Costa Lattes?

Picked the Tassimo up myself over the Xmas and have tried a number of different coffees and a tea.

My favorite of the 'normal' Coffees would be the Kenco Medium Roast as it is a stronger coffee. It doesn't foam up and nicely fills a mug if you add some milk.

Herself prefers the Costa Americano for a 'normal' Coffee, again a strong coffee with a smallish cream head. This does smell beautiful as it brews but the Kenco edges it out for me.

A milder Coffee is the Carte Noire Petit DeJeuner which is again mug sized if you add a drop of milk. I don't really like super hot coffee so the bit of milk I add doesn't cool it down too much for me. It has a creamy head and I've drunk it without milk, but I'm a milk in coffee person so the reduction in temperature doesn't bother me.

The Kenco Caffe Crema is my overall favorite coffee, just beautifull. I use a spray cream can to put a squirt of cream in a smaller size cup and then this on top of it is yum yum yummy, but as nice by it self.

Herself as a tea drinker (normally) was quite taken with the Twinings english breakfast tea, her only fault was that it wasn't hot enough after you add milk so she would just colour the tea with a hint of milk. Makes a mug size tea

We tried the Carte Noire Cappuccino but neither of us were impressed, quite small and no real flavour when compared to the cafe bought one.

All of the above bar the tea I was able to find in bricks and mortar shops around Dublin, DID, Currys, Tesco and our local shop JC's. Paid €5.49 for the medium roast in JC's so about 80cish more than online. Picked up a Costa americano in Tesco's Naas for €4 but that was a reduced price.

Love the machine and love the coffees so ranked they would be (for me)
1 Kenco Caffe Crema Cup sized
2 Kenco medium roast Mug sized
2.5 Costa Americano (that close) Mug sized
4 Carte Noire Petit Mug sized

Amazon only seem to bulk send the one type so I don't think I'll be ordering from them. It's a pity they don't do individual 16 disc pack as an add on item.

So has anybody else tried the different drinks and so have any recomendations.

My favourite plain coffee is the Kenco Columbian. I also love the Carte Noir caramel latte, way nicer than the costa one in my opinion. I've tried all the hot chocolates and I think the Cadbury has the best flavour. The biggest surprise for me though has been the Twinings Lemongrass Chai Latte. I've never tried normal chai latte as I detest cinnamon, but the lemongrass is absolutely gorgeous. Well worth a try.

I also think the Kenco Caffe Crema is lovely. It's probably my favourite.

My "daily" coffee is the Costa cappuccino. It's nice and the easiest to find.

The Carte Noire latte macchiato is nice, a bit nicer than the Costa latte, I think.

The Costa caramel latte is okay. Not very caramelly, though.

The Carte Noire creme brulee is, in my opinion, rotten. I have a sweet tooth but it was way too sweet for me. Also, it's only 120ml so not even half a cup. My OH put it into a Costa latte and thought it was okay that way.

I've tried the Cadbury, Milka and Suchard hot chocolate and the Milka is the nicest, I think. I found the Cadbury and Suchard ones weren't as creamy.

Yes - had difficulty putting through an order last night. Took me over an hour to get it to work.

Just FYI, I ordered capsules from the Tassimo website last Friday night (i.e. ten days ago) and they arrived Friday just gone, so not too bad for delivery time at all.

Sipping on a Suchard hot chocolate right now, not bad, quite rich so probably not one for kids.

I ordered ours three weeks ago and they still haven't arrived. Very hit and miss.

That doesn't sound good; have you gone on to their website to track your order? I got an email the day after placing mine telling me it had been packed and was ready for dispatch, did you get one of those?

I actually have a pair of Starbucks mugs that I got for Christmas a few years ago (weird since I'm snooty and don't like Starbucks coffee, but hey! :o). They're similar in size/shape to this one:
    Zu12uyc.jpg

They're a good size for the XL Tassimo drinks. They don't be full to the brim but they don't look scabby either.

I'd love to have a nice proper set of latte glasses but the press is overflowing with mismatched mugs and cups as it is, I'd be shot if I brought more home!

You can buy the proper latte glasses with handle in Heatons or some €2 shops would have them too. Any decent kitchen/hardware shop should have them.

Boards.ie doesn't seem to allow you to insert images from google images.
You will see the glass if you google it.

The ones heatons and home store sell are only 260ml /26cl. The costa lattes are 330ml so need different glasses.
I was looking at a set of 4 on amazon but they are 18 sterling and you need to use parcel motel.
