Why Cant Fair Let Deco be Happy :(
Jane continues to blackmail Paul, warning that she is going to reveal the photo of them together if he doesn't pay up. Defeated, Paul eventually hands over the cheque to a triumphant Jane.

Later in Jane's apartment, Callum helps her to pack and is taken aback at how calm she is being when faced with the prospect of cancer treatment in a foreign country on her own. Callum decides that he wants to go with her, but Jane talks him out of leaving.

Meanwhile, Ama apologises to Caoimhe when she learns that Caoimhe was telling the truth about the interview time. Following some encouragement from Damien, Caoimhe lies to Judith and takes the blame for the interview mix-up. Ama is taken aback when she gets another chance for the interview and is delighted to be offered the job.

Elsewhere, Charlie and Esther put on a brave face as they have to say goodbye to Lilly and TJ, while Leo and Cass disagree about how to deal with a miserable Kerri-Ann

Zumo calls Decco and asks him to sell some of his dodgy booze. Decco refuses to get drawn into any illegal activities, but when Zumo forces his hand, he decides to sell the goods to Goo-Eyes. Decco loads up the drink in Goo-Eyes's van, but when he asks for the money, Goo-Eyes threatens him and says that he is just taking back what is owed to him.

Later, Decco follows Goo-Eyes and sees him selling booze from the back of his van. It's not long before he approaches the van to gets his booze back. Goo-Eyes soon tackles Decco about his missing vodka and warns him to own up, but Decco defiantly refuses to admit his guilt even when he threatens him. A scuffle ensues and Goo-Eyes vows to seek revenge on Decco.

Meanwhile, Niamh discovers that Paul has dipped into their funds and demands to know why their emergency account is missing €10,000. Backed into a corner, Paul eventually blurts out that he needed the money to pay Jane. Will the reason behind the payment be exposed?

Elsewhere, Wayne begins to feel exploited by Orla, while Judith and Tommy struggle to hide their loneliness.

Decco persuades Caoimhe to stash the booze in the Station Bar. When Dan discovers this, Caoimhe covers by blaming it on a mistake with the suppliers. To make matters worse, Goo-Eyes catches them discussing the dodgy vodka as he stands at the bar.

Later that night, Goo-Eyes lurks outside the Station Bar and threatens Caoimhe. She warns him that she will scream, but when he says he can visit her at home if it's easier, she is left frozen to the spot. Soon afterwards, Caoimhe tells Decco to sort things out with Goo-Eyes. A stressed-out Decco tells Goo-Eyes that he can have his vodka back on the condition that he leaves Caoimhe alone. Goo-Eyes grabs Decco aggressively and threatens him, saying that he is going to help him rob The Station.

Meanwhile, Paul is furious when he receives a call from the hairdressers, who were supposed to be leasing one of the units. They have gone bankrupt and will not be able to take out the lease as organised. Paul can't believe the news as he has fitted out the unit to their specifications, but Niamh assures him they will get another hairdresser to move in.

Elsewhere, Yvonne admits to Carol that she finds the counselling difficult, while Wayne accuses Orla of taking him for granted

Decco has to ask Caoimhe for her help in allowing the robbery to go ahead, but she insists that she's not prepared to lose her job because of his stupidity. Soon afterwards at the bar, Decco notices Dan leave the office unattended and uses this opportunity to sneak inside. However, he is caught red-handed by Dan and comes clean about the mess he is in. Dan berates Decco for his stupidity and cowardliness. When Caoimhe arrives in, she is all apologies and Dan is annoyed that she didn't come to him in the first place.

Later, Goo-Eyes turns up and Dan threatens him. Decco is worried and tells Dan he shouldn't't have threatened Goo-Eyes, but Dan refuses to listen.

Meanwhile, Niamh asks about Paul's meeting with his solicitor and if he discussed the hairdressers pulling out of their deal. When Paul jokes that she could run the place herself, Niamh admits that it wouldn't be such a bad idea. Later, Niamh shocks Paul by saying that she'd interested in setting up her own salon business. Paul gives her the go-ahead, but warns the figures will need to add up.

Elsewhere, Carol notes a spark between Yvonne and Dan, while Wayne's protest has an unexpected outcome.

Loved the way Judith was questioning Jane about her health in full voice in Vino's the other night. Top marks for confidentiality then.

    Jane is one scheming b***h

    Who?

Goo Eyes is a cult figure. Paddy Bishop paid him to terrorise his family. I wish he was a permanent fixture. They should also bring back BAZ and MICK.

If you were paying 40k for her life saving operation you would want to know where the cancer is

And why go to Germany? Carrigstown hospital is fabulous - well at treating spinal injuries and facial lacerations judging by Tommy and Callum's recoveries. Dr Judith has done wonders for Pete's back too ;)

Who in the name of jaysus among the FC writers thought it was going to be a good idea to bring this Kerri Ann character into the show.

This Jane storyline seems to be going downhill, I thought it would end up in an affair between herself and Paul but it's getting a bit ridiculous now.

The whole Ama and Damien thing is getting tedious as well.

I assume they were going for a Marilyn from Home&Away type character but Kerri Ann just doesn't work.
I don't know if it's the writing on the acting but she makes Leo look like Robert de Niro (in his 70's heyday).

Not at all : she's just told them she has only weeks to live which is a fairly intimate revelation.

perhaps he got a job cleaning and tending for Hayley Cropper in Weatherfield as she/he is too ill to do everyday things herself. . . . . . . .

"The doctors say I may have only weeks to live"
Followed by a trip to te pub, and then plans to head off to a different pub. Is that how terminal cancers patients usually behave? No-one mentions that with her life-threatening health problems, maybe she should be taking it easy.

But Carrigstown hospital has only one bed. The waiting list must be atrocious.

Jane could have at least made it a little believable and said she had months to live. No, she was so keen to get the money she said she had weeks to live. What a truly unrealistic story!

  • Registered Users Posts: 3,456 ✭✭✭fishy fishy

usually in a soap, you would get characters that you like, that you hate, but you would have some feeling towards them and want to watch them develop....however this jane/paul/niamh/calum situation - when they come on, I just want them to go away.....it's not interesting, no research seems to have been done into the story...taking the audience for fools.... it's gone on too long - can they just cut it short and stop ruining the show - it's unbearable trying waiting for the scene to change. Maybe they could all go for a day out and never come back.

The Jane 'only weeks to live' storyline has brought out the wit in the boarders though - hooray!!! This thread is the best thing about FC!

    .

It's so bad that it wouldn't surprise me if it still did end up with them having an affair!

They'll have to get a move on though. Remember Jane " only has weeks to live".
