That would be more or less what the Astras performance would be would it taking weight into consideration, assuming it's the 1.4 petrol astra pickles has. Is there a website that gives all them performance figures it's handy to read them like that altogether. Rather than just scattered through car reviews.

    This is handy sometimes.

Spent 3hours cleaning the mould and 11 years of crap and general yuckyness off the mazdas interior today, removed the seats and will wet vac the crap out of it tomorrow.
it wasnt running smooth at all so cleaned the throttle body and now runs as should.
There is one problem left, when accelerating slowly from a standstill theres a clunking coming from the front of the car for a second and then it goes away. Im thinking an engine mount maybe? car doesnt seem that planted at the front and seems to want to hop with any quick take off from standstill

Love the simplicity of the car so far, only gripe is that theres a lot of rattles to sort out!

Dont do it, you will regret it.
I've had 2 cars with similar performance to that yoke and its soul destroying!

Couldn't agree more - especially if you've to do any sort of a long distance journey at all.

How many miles do you do in the week???, whats the realistic fuel saving on something like the Corsa when compared to say a Corolla 1.3 or even the Rover 600 posted in the bangernomics tread.

I think unless the budget is massively tight - id rather spend (for example) 40 quid a week extra on fuel for the Rover rather then have the Corsa.

Just my thinking - which fully deserves to be ignored :D

My apologies - wasn't meaning to have a pop at you for considering buying the Corsa.

At the end of the day - you should buy the car that best suits your needs - and if that's the Corsa - then that's the car to go for.

I suppose as someone looking to go in the other direction this year - I suppose I have a different outlook on things.

    Apologies :(

Oh god no i wasn't taking it seriously at all, I never take anything seriously, no need to be sorry at all :)

I'm just saying that I might end up with anything, but im starting small, I could end up with a 406 dtubro ;)

Engine mount would also show as a judder when you try to accelerate from low speed in high gear.
Mine clunks on take off at the moment, there is a bushing gone in the front, but it also rattles over small bumps.

If i leave off the accelerator pedal abruptly the car will jerk a good bit, its a horrible loud noise to have when taking off

I had a car once where the bonnet flew up smashed my windscreen while doing 100km/h. Luckily it was on a back road with nobody around, I had to jam on the brakes if there was a car behind me it would probably gone straight into me. I had to tie it down then with what ever I found in the boot.

Yes he has the diesel one I had the 1.6 XLi 110hp one. I miss that car. It's the type of car where I had the attitude where I was booting down bog roads and never washed it ever. It's even on google maps outside the parents house, even though I had it off the road at that stage.

No sign of 141 LS 1 thread yet. This is a bad start to the new year.
