Ah not my end so, friend of mine had one until lately and it was great, has a polo now and it's a sweet car too!

Yeah but it's more the fact i detest these but i can't find anything worth the hassle, I need this fairly lively so it's more out of convenience, but anyways, I'll get it looked at and see

What's wrong with the astra I thought it was going well ?

I wouldn't go near the mirror base. It matches with the pillars between the glass.

Ah, I don't know.. the pillars on the side seem darker than the mirror bases?

The mirror is very dull/matt in appearance, wheras the pillars are slightly darker (enough that id call them black instead of grey, anyway) and have a glossy finish..

I don't know what to do with it now :(

It is, but I'm just getting tired of it, plus i'm selling it to my brother to pay for the insurance for this, more economical and all that

Ah right. Your annual mileage certainly suits a diesel so you should save a bit on fuel depending on what the astra does mpg I suppose.

Ah sure it can't hurt to paint them sure, lots of cars have the bases painted.

It does around mid thirties, so it's all good really, I've actually cut down significantly on my mileage as of late, so we'l wait and see!

Is it reversible, I wonder (ie; if I don't like them sprayed, can I spray them back to a matt grey?).

The bumper on the car at the front right has some scuffs, too. Im guessing the previous owner cut it a bit tight when parking. You can feel the scrapes.

Might get that looked at, too (seen as he'll have to take the nudge bar off anyway.. might make sense to do the whole lot at the same time).

Just a bit worried of leaving myself broke, though. NCT is on Tuesday and, although I reckon the car will fly through, I don't want to make too many commitments incase it ends up costing me an arm and a leg with a big fail sheet.

I'd say postpone the work till you're ready. The more work you get done together the cheaper it'll be.

Just reading through this load of tripe!. Average speed camera's to be deployed on motorways (anpr) to catch ze speeders. The great debate thread. Head wreaking reading the amount of sheep that think they are justified and agree with uncle gaybo.

That would be more or less what the Astras performance would be would it taking weight into consideration, assuming it's the 1.4 petrol astra pickles has. Is there a website that gives all them performance figures it's handy to read them like that altogether. Rather than just scattered through car reviews.
