Oddly enough, yes! Although the squeaky steering wheel would bug the hell out of me, and the rubbery feeling from the gearstick, in mine it's as solid as they come haha

but in general, yes i did like it very much :)

It's a fun car, I've just been a lazy bint and not applied ye old silicone spray to the steergin wheel :)

Never found the gearstick rubbery, but I'm slower to change gears than you :)

Nah as time goes on it becomes a car I always wanted and in fairness have put in three times what I paid for it and expect to get back, and it's now a seriously roadworthy solid car that I love.

I'm just looking at two cars in my driveway that need to become one and being greedy cash wise, I'll get 500 for one and up to three times that for the other.

And having had my fun, I can happily cope with a few months of driving the C5

At the end of the day the main question is did you like driving it :)

@ Scortho, parts wise, I reckon it's worth about €750

shh...he doesn't know that....the money to be made breaking an alfa is ridiculous when you think of how cheap some can be bought. spring pans and rear subframe are worth a fortune:P

Considering he can get a gtv for about 200 don't hold out on getting much more.:P He had a 166 2.5v6 in for breaking all because it needed a clutch. Every panel was straight on the car and it had a belt done 2 months previously. Clutch went and owner said feck it, what will you give me for it. He told him 200....that evening he sold the wheels with 4 new bridgestone turanzas for 250:pac:

You'd be better off putting it up on done deal after christmas for 1500. Id be shocked if you got anything less than 1200 for it

It was ****ed when I got it, I honest to god spent an age putting it to rights :)

It's a fun car :) Not terribly breakable either, and it looks great :)

@ toasted, I'm mildly amazed you are so positive about it :)
Having driven it i can safely say it is rather nice!

For a minute there I all thought you were talking about the c5 :) :pac:
(Not saying anything bad about the c5 I'm sure it's a nice car but I was thinking before I realised how could the c5 be that fun to drive :D)

Once I realised it was the Alfa it all clicked.

Went for a walk this evening and between the rain and wind the weather was mad. The roads around us were seriously icy this morning they didn't grit any of our local they were all like a sheet of glass at 6 am you could see the glistening under the headlight. I think its suppose to be very windy tonight too. I need to wash my car too so hopefully the weather will improve tomorrow.
