Even though a bmw 530D is better on fuel than a prius and the tax is 600 odd unless you go past. 2008 and the whole battery thing whatever that is.

I thought about one too for city driving delivering pizza or whatever but it's not that good.

Same as myself but you'd get better mpg from a diesel saab 9-3 and tax is near sane.

I'd rather the saab...... without the opel feel

I don't really think so, plus it looks different which is always a bonus, or just the a 1.7 diesel corsa, city driving and all that lark

Cheap eco motoring at it's finest ;) I know i don't really like them, but if it saves me a few pence, can't really be affording luxuries, the prius is a bit of a far fetched idea the opel would be more realistic

Like with myself, I would have thought owning an Astra would teach you a lesson about Opels. :pac:

The tax is murdering me on the 530 and running it isn't that great either. I won't give it up for a boring car though :)

I think toasted has found drink and needs to sleep on this madness :)
Thank God mad lad ain't around :)

Mad lad has talked through their merits enough for me to see how good they are in fairness.

But could you honestly live with one?

What about a 1.4 diesel fiesta or the corsa?

Yeah i could tolerate it! but like if i can't afford one which it's looking unlikely I'll just get a diesel corsa, keeping with what i know and all that

I'm still thinking of selling the gtv and moving over to the Ohs C5 tbh
As time goes by it becomes more tempting

See the more you think about it!

The more sense it makes, the C5 is 3 years younger, the gtv after a decent service and NCT will bring in a bit of cash, and I'll be driving a car I don't mind at all tbh

It has a flaw in the bodywork after some wanker pinged it in a car park.

It was ****ed when I got it, I honest to god spent an age putting it to rights :)

It's a fun car :) Not terribly breakable either, and it looks great :)

@ toasted, I'm mildly amazed you are so positive about it :)

Sure if you did I'd give you 100 more than scrap value and use it for parts! :pac:

Well I can be positive about things you shouldn't be :P I dunno if that's a good or bad thing, depends on what we're talking about i guess, for instance! when i was 16 I destroyed my knee, needed rehab and all that, when it happened instead of screming in pain, i started laughing, i though it was hilarious!

At the end of the day the main question is did you like driving it :)

@ Scortho, parts wise, I reckon it's worth about €750

Oddly enough, yes! Although the squeaky steering wheel would bug the hell out of me, and the rubbery feeling from the gearstick, in mine it's as solid as they come haha

but in general, yes i did like it very much :)
