Just drove back from Kildare. The road was dead most of the way until I got closer to Dublin. Not bad but saw a little bit of ice sparkling here and there. Nothing major yet but I wouldn't be surprised if there was more overnight.

All this frozen mountain hooning is also fun :)

I know I'll be found dangling over the edge in an Italian job type scenario some day though :)

Had the nicest day :) Spent four hours cooking turkey, goose, ham, and various accompaniments, all devoured by the savages :D

Gift wise, got some wd40, deicer, screen wash, and that instant puncture repair stuff, along with sailing stuff and jewellery :)

All sitting down now chilling out :)

I had a lovely day at home. Didn't leave the house for the day. Got loads of nice presents none of them motoring related but some nice ones all the same. My younger brother got an iPhone 5s and I haven't seen his face all day :pac:

We were around visiting neighbours yesterday and one of them got a new model octavia 132 demo. Middle spec one 1.6 tdi. It's a nice car seems comfortable and well put together. However while we were driving it I noticed a few things. It's obviously a bit longer than our 11 one. And there is a bit of extra knee space in saying all that the 11 reg is not cramped in the back. Now I'm 6 foot 2 and find the 11 one good for rear head room I can lie back and sleep and all although my head would be near the roof I would have enough space. Yet in the bigger 132 if I sat forward there was enough head room but if I went to put my head on the head rest I couldn't as the roof slopes back leaving a lack of head space. Seems mad considering there was a big deal made over how it was a bigger car. Also it was missing a lot of extras our one has cruise control, sat nav, parking sensor, auto mirror stuff like that. I think it only cost an extra 6k over our one  I wouldn't consider them a good deal anymore pricewise

Prius and savings towards a fun weekend car....I'd agree on that.
The way my car reacts in traffic (pickles you know what I mean here :pac:) and the amount of petrol it drinks, i am slowly starting to see the appeal of a high mpg car/ev for weekdays and a gas guzzler for the weekend to keep me sane.
