    Whats on yours now?

19's! I hate them too which makes them almost unbearable when it comes to buying tyres!

After 18's is the point where tyre prices get insane!

    My Dunlop sportmaxx's are 300 a corner at 255-35-19!

Or the tyres for my GMC :P More than either of those ..

Speaking of the truck, it needs a new 02 sensor. I got a OBD2 reader and was expecting the ECU light to be a lot worse.

If you're going to engage in "enculer des mouches", it's important to get it right. Or, in more vernacular, if only you'd kept your mouth shut, we might have thought you clever!

Damn, american english infiltrating my hiberno-english vernacular

Those are horrendous prices but they are at the extreme - the Dunlops (X5) are run flat which will always be expensive and the Pirellis (RR) are 22 which is silly (IMO) for a Range Rover. By comparison, I got 4 Pirelli Scorpion M&S for my fullfat RR in the summer for less than £1,000 fully fitted and without ordering or notice etc.

Yup we essentially bank personal time spent travelling and take it as time in lieu at a later date, which works if you get to take holidays a lot. I am booked for consulting until mid June at the moment:eek:

    Hi All,

Hoping somebody can give me some advice on selling my car.
Basically I'm thinking about getting rid of it next month (at the risk of sounding like too much of a girl.. it's too big and noisy!)

It's an 07 Vectra Design 1.9TDI, 150BHP, 170,000KM, Red, Perfect condition, NCT and all that. I'm thinking of advertising for a swap on DoneDeal, a smaller petrol car like a focus/golf/polo/mini.

What would you recommend? Selling it privately, advertising a swap or is it better just to go to a dealer and trade it in? I've never sold a car before so not sure whether it's possible I could be ripped off or anything on donedeal? I've seen similar cars advertised between 4500 and 6500 online so not sure what the realistic valuation would be

    Any help greatly appreciated :)car.jpg

Looks in nice condition :) Does it come with any service history?

Price it the same as another one that is on done deal in terms of spec, service history etc and then also decide on the price that you want to get for it (people will haggle).
Next take some good pictures of the car (if possible on a day with goodish weather) showing each side of the car and the interior. Then write you ad honestly clearly stating all the features of the car particularly paying attention to the work that has been done to the car and the condition of consumable parts e.g. tyres, timing belt etc.

When it comes to selling make sure the person is a real life person, as in they show up to look at the car, give it a good inspection and pay in cash. Make sure you have the money before giving them the car and post the log book together.

Here is a thread that goes into more detail if you're interested
