This Paul Simon has been on before - disappointing live performance TBH...needs more Chevy Chase!

    Outta here!

    Nos da!

yeah the timing is unsettling. Good show, some proper decent actors in it.

The Emperor himself! Never trust that lad.

Anyway, brilliant love these tunes. Really love 'em!

Yeah, the voice is a bit weak. Pity.

He has a fine back catalogue to choose from.

Saw a documentary about Graceland on TG4 a while back. It's just magic.

(Especially when it's followed by Guitar Heroes :-D)

Never liked the sound of that electric piano. Just play a normal piano, bejaney.

Edit: Sax can do one, too!

Diamonds on the soles of her shoes is a fantastic song.

I must watch out for that one ... TG4 don't repeats shows quite as much as BBC4 but I'm sure it'll be coming around again, as they say.

I bought my first Paul Simon music on cassette in Golden Discs Stillorgan, when I was about 6 years old. An uncle of mine had played Bridge Over Troubled Water on vinyl one day to keep me occupied and I became oddly obsessed by the sound of it. I'd sit up beside his record player when visiting and insist he play it repeatedly.

As I grew a little older (and clearly weirder), I used re-enact the concert in Central Park, using my Star Wars action figures to represent Paul & Artie. :o

Never trusted Art Garfunkel after that Bright Eyes - Watership Down episode.

Hated that black rabbit. Still do. Scared the hell out of me.

I think so, it was an anniversary special, I think.

Sorry, got distracted for a minute by the Don Johnson - Whoppi Goldberg double act for a minute.

Was of course joking about our Messer in Chief!

Didn't dig that, to be honest.

Woo, nearly guitar hero time. Think it's a good one tonight.

Hah, came home from a frankly quite dismal night out, to find Paul Simon playing Late in the Evening.

    Result!!!

    :D

(shame it's not the Central Park concert version, but hey, beggars can't be choosers)

He's not a great man for the banter between songs. Or maybe they edited it down.

Nothing crazy, early 30's, a few years before Mum & Dad insisted I haul ass!

    Crap, I did, didn't I!

Thought it was an hour earlier and I still had an hour to go

In the absence of my Central Park CD, which has completely disappeared into thin air, I've stuck on Billy Joel.... Piano Man et al will do for this hour of night :)
