Hopefully the Order won't be bad.

The Order is gonna be another technical showcase by the looks of it, but even if it gets panned, you will still see it free as a PS+ game by the years end. The only thing it has fully going for it is that it will be a PS4 exclusive and as it stands the Xbox One exclusive games after Titanfall have not been officially announced as arriving this year as of yet, of course we will know more at E3.

Only games that get above 70% in their Metacritic average (IIRC) go on PS+

Lol, the amount of confusion my post did!

I like how confused ones pieced together 69.99eu and Dark souls, but did not used same logic with third point, which was a steering wheel.

I can only imagine buying 69.99eu ps3 version of dark souls and playing it on logitech steering wheel. :pac:

On topic: Second Son looks awesome, but this time around I will do a sensible thing. Play first two games and then buy Second Son, not just buy it and play it for 2 hours, then going back to first 2 games leaving Second Son waiting.

Given how much I'm dying in Dark Souls 2 I don't think plugging my own force feedback wheel into the PS3 and using it to control my miserable avatar can possibly make things worse.... :(

Oh I know, the game will get good reviews, but people are already putting it down after seeing videos for it, they will pan it.

Dark Souls 2 is keeping the PS4 power off for a while. I may even restart Demon's Souls after it.

You can't put the order down after only seeing a glimpse of it and equally people shouldn't hype it up so much till we see more.

From the released gameplay the graphics are phenomenal and the gameplay looks solid, kinda gears of war'ish which is solid. It also has a ool setting / theme so there's lots of potential. It's made by the God of War devs so I think people are just assuming it will be epic.

But I'm not even thinking about that game and won't until E3 this year when it's shown in full.

That's only partly true, it was made by the devs of the PSP games, not the console ones. They were still good games though.

I'm keeping an open mind about this; there's been nothing amazing or anything shown yet though but hopefully that will change.

I'd say the PSP games were far better thab GoW 3 which I found remarkably dull.

Out of curiosity, what do you like?

Pina Colada's and getting caught in the rain.

At the moment I've only got eyes for Dark Souls 2 (and Persona 3 Portable when I'm down the country).

I know a lot of people like God of War 3 but I found it really mundane, especially in comparison with the second game which I loved to bits. It was pretty but really dull and somehow even more stupidly juvenile to the point of being offensive. When I got to the level that was just a load of boxes it was the culmination for me of how little effort went into the level design and iirc you returned there and it was reused. Fur coat no knickers game for me although it did look very pretty.

That or Bayonetta ruined me on similar games.

Don't even joke when it comes to Legend of Dragoon.

Actually, Ready At Dawn are getting help from Sony Santa Monica so it is more true that you think.

Regardless, we have seem approximately two minutes of game footage and some have judged the game to be a failure already. Whatever happens, I am going to wait until I play it myself before making such a judgement call.

I think most were saying it looked like GoW with Werewolves, I still have hope for it, it was for me one of the best reveals we saw last year.

    Ooooh,looks very smexy.......

    http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/2014-03-19-sony-announces-project-morpheus-virtual-reality-headset-for-playstation-4

Finally a little info on sonys vr headset, looks like its been in development for a few years! They have a few demos for the crowds at GDC: Eve:Valkyrie(looks like its not exclusive to the rift),a section of the new Thief game and two sony tech demos,The Castle and The Deep.

Quite excited to see how this pans out:)

This is a quote about the resolution of the device, looks like 1080p to me but maybe someone with a better knowledge of VR can explain what the below actually means?

"-Panel Resolution: 1920×RGB×1080 (960×RGB×1080 per eye)"

That's simply the resolution of the display, first taken altogether, and then singly, the vertical resolution remains the same but the horizontal is halved as the display is split asking the vertical axis to give two side by side displays.
1080x960 is the effective resolution per eye but the total is 1080x1920, meaning the console is driving a 1080p display, and for display purposes this is then split in half down the middle with a left and right channel per eye.
Your brain then stitched the two images back together into a 3D 1080x960 image, and in a ratio of 16:9 divided in two, or a roughly square resulting image 8:9.

With the kinect in the bin full of gimmicky ****. They apparently had a picture of one of the Collosus from SotC at the presentation. If anything to do with The last guardian is involved in this I will not be happy.

Me neither, means not only will I have to buy a PS4, I'll have to buy the game and a VR display as well, going to cost a fortune!

Need moar info Sony. Still, Really excited about this, particularly the declaration that "Games are only one type of content". I had the fear that they'd stick rigidly to games and miss out on the potential of say, virtual cinema. I don't know how anyone could compare the potential of a decent vr system to something like kinect.

I doubt the Kinect will ever work, at least in the manner it was sold to us in the first place.
It's a pity the XB1 is currently anchored to that albatross, MS would have been better off integrating a decent microphone and let people plug in any damn Windows compatible webcam they like if the players want their mug plastered all over the internet.
Is the PS4 particularly damaged by a lack of uptake in the Eye? Don't feckin think so son.

With the reveal of this headset, there's a good chance the PS Eye will have a significant use sooner than the Kinect 2 will. That is mental.

Can I use the PS Eye I bought for the PS3 on the PS4 if I ever get one? I picked up one of those wonderbook starter packs with the move wand and the ps eye for the kids in XtraVision for €20 the other day.
