Upon arriving home with a new big kids toy for yourself, a little quadracopter, do not immediately decide it will be great fun to chase the dogs around the house with it.

There's only ever going to be one winner. Any only yourself to blame.

Can the weather forum be included too ;)

If those ****ers had their way I'd say I'd be wearing an orange jump suit, reading a prepared statement on a youtube video while some third rate meteorological jihadist sharpened his goat killing knife in the background...

(Wonder if that would actually get an infraction from one of their mods?)

    There's a weather forum???

Drivers who wait in long queues in drive thru places when it is empty inside and is much faster to park and go in to pick up.

    Lazy ****s!

Yeah reason for that, is the child is probably only viral at the moment, if the child form gets worst it goes bacterial, then you give them the antibiotic.

Would you prefer he gave you no prescription and two days alter u go back and give him more money just to get the same prescription?

Never keep people happy in this country

Also you need to have the temp for at least three days for the doc to consider it bacterial!!!

I would perfer not to have to decide whether the child needed the antibiotic or not as that's what I was paying good money for. I now have a doctor who examines the patient properly, asks questions and does not give out prescriptions for me to decide what to do with. He instructions to come back the next day free of charge and he decides. This is a professional service.

Glad to see the ban on medical advice has been dropped.

    <SNIP>

It may be obvious to you, some mere mortals with out medical training Iike clear cut instructions and an informed opinion. I am not going to decide to pull a prescription out of the cupboard for the next illness with out having a decision on what's wrong. Also my doctor has never mentioned 3 day rules, he said a young child with a temp over 40 should always been seen by a doctor.

We brought ours to hospital the first time she had 41 tempo, hospital sent us home and said keep using calpol and neurofen, that was crumlin.

All antibiotics from docs for kids are generic. Any doc that gives kid an antibiotic after one day of temp is making the kid weaker in the long term.

If he's permabanned from the forum and starts posting there from a new account, the new account could get a site-wide ban

People going on about the 6 counties being part of S.Ireland.

Sure thing people, as soon as you find 12 billion extra in our budget without any cuts or extra tax you can put the matter to a vote, until then that's what England pays to the North every year to keep things ticking over up there.

We can't afford that sort of money,

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 347 ✭✭dukeraoul

Rant: Nationalism and Patriotism generally. Kinda looking forward to the day when we move on from these antiquated notions of dividing people.

Absolutely. Think about policing alone. According to the Garda website, the budget in 2014 was €1.24bn. It's about the same again for the PSNI.

To some people some things are worth fighting for. I applaud those people. I don't think people go on about the North being part of Southern Ireland. They go on about it being part of Ireland.

People who call Ireland "Southern Ireland". Especially people from Ireland. It's a mild rant I'll admit but fairly makes **** all sense unless you're talking about Cork and even then you just say Cork. "The South" fair enough, but Southern Ireland is just bizarre.

It's a total artificial economy because of the security and public service budget.
Between the inward investment and tourism etc.. in an agreed settlement wouldn't cost near that!

Autumnal rain back with a vengeance. Hasn't stopped since this afternoon and some pretty heavy outbursts, my drain is overflowing. Talking to my wife working on the south side of Dublin and there hasn't been any.

Seriously though, Nationalism and Patriotism doesn't always mean dividing people... But I get what you mean...

Rant: Washing the dog today, looking lovely and all, but the bitch decides to go out and roll in st1t :D I didn't know whether to laugh or cry :)

Tell me about it, I'm trying to throw money at anyone who can give me a heart test and they're all too busy despite working one day a week. GP hasn't rang me about my blood tests either in two days. Doctor in A&E fobbed me off with inflammatories. I'm missing runs and the DCM entry date deadline is fast approaching.

    Gone beyond pissed off.

Doubles. Fecking hate them. Run a tough workout last night and had to drag myself out for 7 and 5 today....cranky as ****.

Also marathon training sucks sometimes...looking forward to not having to run 10 plus miles every freaking day. That is all...

The highs and lows of heavy training

See you in the rave thread tomorrow :D

Rant: Gym stupidity going beyond the usual bro science. Gym user doing hands free squats on the smith machine today, what's the point in getting "legs gains" if you cause nerve damage or paralysis in the process?
