I need to head down your way for a day of car spottign nd! Fantastic stuff as usual.

Today I saw an old Beetle (JIH I think the reg was), an 87 Renault 4 van (driven by an old woman), two Sierra hatchbacks (both red), and an 88 Corolla saloon. All in Clontarf.

And, believe it or don't, my ****ing phone was dead, so no photos.

Hadn't a clue what this was when I saw it.

Haven't a clue now, what is it? I thought it might be a Nissan, double take on the hub cap suggests it is, is it a Cefiro?

To me - it looks like a U13 Nissan Bluebird - which we didn't get here in Europe - and which was sold in the USA (I think) as the Nissan Altima.

    Could be wrong though

Seen a 1994 era Daihatsu Charade today - the newer model they bought out in around 1993 which they hardly sold any off - not sure what actual year it was though

The 88 corolla saloon guy works near me in clontarf. Meant spotting that one a few times. It's in great nick too

Saw a 92 C Toyota Landcruiser 2dr parked on Oliver Plunkett Street in Cork this morning. Black with plenty of rust spots and missing most of the trim.

Seen a 98' green civic coupe parked in Nutgrove earlier, original factory hubcaps to. Looked like a brand new car, nice how some keep these old yokes in top original condition.

Also spotted a 91' Nissan Bluebird 'classic' hatchback in the Square car park, last of those old bluebirds. Lovely old thing as we had the saloon variant during the Italia 90' days.

Nice thread. Didn't travel very far today, but I noticed a 2001 VW Passat that was strangely clean.

My mam had one years ago. Very reliable and easy on fuel. The engine was as spotless and never burned a drop of oil. They were simpy too expensive new as they were all built in Japan and the value of the Yen was sky high in the mid-90s.
