    Rosewater in cake is gak, in raspberry jam it's surprisingly nice though!

    I remember Geraldine Brand coming to our school to give us deportment lessons and advocating Rose Water as part of our skin routine....

    I am getting a little worried at the way they are beating the dye into the mixtures, I hope they don't over work the flour, the cake will be very heavy if this happens.

    I've never tried Battenberg, I always nagged Mammy to buy it when I was a kid because it was a pink cake :) She never did though so I assume it's not to most people's tastes? :pac:

    I bought carrot cake in honour of watching this tonight, but it is like feckin bread. Disgusted! I am definitely baking next Wednesday.

    I loved Khaled's cake. No to battenburg but yes to all things nutty!

    I wouldn't mind 'Bad Biddy' a couple of weeks down the line, but it's a bit rich (pun attended!) on the first challenge!
