Done and done. Looks a bit weird with the old default background. Usually I wait to see what performance hit the old models take (I'm on a 4), but what the hell. Time to tinker.

I have decided to do it with my laptop and see how it goes . I have only started now and it's telling me 22 mins. to download the software to update my phone .

My itunes is having issues too
When I connect my phone it says we could not complete your itunes store request...

Upgraded last week, no problems.
Hated it at first, but it's starting to grow on me.

I managed to download it a while ago on both iPhone 5 and iPad (3rd Gen) via iTunes. Took a fair few attempts. Left it and around 8.30pm the updates start downloading with about a 10 minutes estimate. Loving the update so far, no bugs i've encountered browsing through apps and checking things work.

Definitely the most error filled update Apple have released. Took so many attempts to finally get.

I also tried tapping airplane mode and it went from 5 hours to 11 mins- still going

I'm on one of the betas and its saying i've no update. i'm assuming its a shift restore jobby for me?

It should be available for beta testers OTA

I'd say there's just a delay for us until the servers are under less load

Same here on 4s! started to download but then stated failed. Now stating above!

You can't OTA update from a beta to the final release. If that was the case you would have got the GM over a week ago.

You'll have to restore.

Donwload the latest version of itunes from apples website and you should be good to go . The auto update keeps crashing .

Took me numerous attempts and kept getting errors.

Switched to airplane mode and it downloaded really fast no errors and now says "updating Iphone software"

Fingers crossed it doesnt crash again.

Finally installing OTA on iPhone 4. Took advice on another forum after it refused to verify the update several times. Deleted 6gb of stuff, restarted and it worked on third attempt. No way of knowing if that was the reason though. Taking forever to install. About 15 minutes on the white install bar and just over half way there. Ipad 3 update via iTunes has 13 minutes to go, but it's already crashed four times already so far.
