Amouar, see my post earlier - we were using it on one floor without any steam at all thinking "this is crap" until other half realised the water container was not on completely (even though green light was on). It just seemed like a damp mop.

After fixing it correctly the steam started (though not as much as video!)

    Thanks for your reply.

I'm pretty sure that the water container was on completely when i checked. Will check again and see if there is any improvement.

    Thanks

according to herself the water container goes into some slot but you have to push it down further than she had it for it to work properly.

Seems to work now! thanks! Do you keep pressing the trigger for a long period or only for short period of times?
Excuse my ignorance as it's the first time I use a steam mop.

    Thanks!

we figured you pull the trigger then do a few sweeps and you hear the steam stop after a few seconds, then you pull the trigger again. So every few mop sweeps.

If anyone has a Dublin code- I'd be grateful for it.

I was holding the trigger continuously as I was mopping

Doesn't the pad just get manky after a few sweeps? So you're wiping that all over the floor? I WANT to like these, but a mop and bucket seems easier.

All you have to do is reserve one online, they email you the code and then collect in your chosen limerick Argos between Wednesday and Friday this week.
That is what I did and it says ready for collecting on Wednesday...

It's not currently available for back ordering anymore so you're just told it's out of stock and that's the end of it.

More popping up in Dublin area - obviously people not using their codes.

the Argos reservation system really is stupid. Not helpful for customers or argos.

Picked mine up today, will be pressie for friend. I have the S2, love it, bought extra pads from Amazon. I usually pretreat any really stubborn patches with a spray cleaner, but not too much or there will be streaks of residue on floor surface. I hold the trigger down continuously when using on my kitchen floor, and if the floor is particularly manky, change the pad halfway through the process.

Perhaps it's a love/hate thing for the steam mop, I love mine, put on pad, fill up tank, plug in, wait for green light and go. I hated using the squeegee sponge mop, hated having to boil 2 kettles to fill bucket or sink, hated having to soak and squeeze out mop head during the floor cleaning process, etc etc. Always seemed like an overly laborious job.
