doubt it will be the Vax though.
I ordered it.. if it's not the Vax, I'll simply bring it back saying "it was a present for X, but they already have one" - sorted!

Got Vax also. Have to say there doesn't seem to be much steam coming out of it and the pad seems to come off after a while mopping.

Not that it's me doing the mopping. ;)

Edit: water container wasn't connected properly! Fine now.

Just used mine to clean the kitchen and I have to say that I'm not impressed by it. I need to stay for a while on each single stain in order to remove it. What do you guys think of yours?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,104 ✭✭✭groom

I think it's excellent. Had a good go across a few floors already. Didn't have any major gummy strains to shift. Gone are the days of using a mop bucket. don't need floor polish anymore. Floors dry much quicker because a minimal amount of water is used

Picked one up in Mahon Point. Nice one OP.

I ordered a microfibre additional pad on Amazon.I had other items to purchase so free delivery (over £25 of eligible purchases).

    http://www.amazon.co.uk/Microfibre-CORAL-Washable-Bionaire-Steam/dp/B0040ZI7R4/ref=sr_1_6?ie=UTF8&qid=1378060061&sr=8-6&keywords=vax+pad

I am a little concerned about using the machine on laminate floors. Hopefully it will be okay.

I'm trying to figure out if mine is faulty or not. Does yours do the same as this one in the video @0:19 ? http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/mpd/permalink/mJ0D2C0J9HZ2M/ref=ent_fb_link

This one appears to be heating very well, while i didn't notice anything in mine .

Amouar, see my post earlier - we were using it on one floor without any steam at all thinking "this is crap" until other half realised the water container was not on completely (even though green light was on). It just seemed like a damp mop.

After fixing it correctly the steam started (though not as much as video!)
