    Well, the deadline for applications to take over at the Stadium of Light has now lapsed, meaning the current Shanghai Manager is now free to take charge of them.

    In light of recent comments I withdraw my application - I had forgotten about the buying from unmanaged being introduced and the shot in the arm that it might give the league and wanted to come back - but it is my folly, my cross and I shall carry it - so once again I say adieu my brethren

    Any chacne of re examining the idea of moving away from purely a total points criteria when ranking applicant's for available jobs or is it too problematic?

    In this case for example the Udinese manager had the highest points/game average but lowest total points due to not being in this league as long as the other applicants so gets screwed on the basis of not being in the league as long as the other applicants. He is still playing in the league close to 2 years though so is hardly a fly by night.

    Just a thought........

    I thought the rules were changed a while back to reflect that a bit more but it appears not..... Its a very flawed system of picking managers I must say
