Considered try scorers for Leinster but opted for a safer (?) bet instead. As for Connacht you've gotta give them a lash. This weeks losing budget fully committed. :D

A clean sweep for the provinces is available at 56/1 on PP. Worth a euro. :)

    2/2 so far, let's hope for 2/2 tomorrow. :)

Sadly, I don't think Munster have a prayer today but given that they are massive underdogs they have nothing to lose by going for it. PP have a Munster win at 5/1 and a more likely more than 6.5 in the 1st half at 8/11 surely worth a few Euros for the faithful? Also a Conor Murray anytime try at 13/2 or a CJ Stander anytime try at 4/1? I'm in a real quandary. :(

An Ulster win against Ian Madigan's Bordeaux at 13/10 looks worthy a punt too. To me Ulster look the better team on paper but as I don't keep an eye on the Top 14 much anymore....

The final game of the day Exeter vs Clermont - given that French teams don't travel.... and that Thomas 'The Tank' Waldrom is unstoppable an Exeter win at 5/4 looks 'exciting', while an anytime try by the said Thomas at 6/4 is free money. :D

some big movement during the day

clermont have gone down 4 points to -3 (just about good value)
    wasps gone to -42

    for the craic...

    Clermont Auvergne @ 10/11
    (-3.0) :)

    Racing 92 @ 10/11
    (-12.0)

    Montpellier @ 10/11
    (+2.0)

    Leinster @ 10/11
    (-13.0) :)

    Connacht @ 10/11
    (+3.0) :)

3 out of 4 aint bad.

Should have gone way out on Clermont but they have stung me in the past (can't believe they actually started in positive handicap)

    Montpellier threw their game away

Did a massive 10 game accy for the craic on Friday. None of the games went in my favour. None. Holy crap, terrible. Only a euro, but still.

    Connacht (-10.0) @ 10/11

    Ulster (-6.0) @ 10/11

    Leinster (+5.0) @ 10/11

    Munster (-4.0) @ 10/11

    accumulator @ 12's

Northampton +5 looks a good bet. They weren't great last week but Castres were terrible, if not for Leinster constantly dropping the ball in their 22 they would have been beaten by 40 points. Saracens -20 with William Hill also looks very good, decent weather forecast they should demolish Scarlets.

    I'm on:
    Enisei +9 vs Dragons
    Connacht - 10 vs Zebre
    Ulster -6 vs Exeter
    Montpellier - 4 vs Leinster

I was greedy and added Cardiff -16 last min...
Go and concede a try in 79th min- it's what I deserve

I took the +15 for zebra earlier in the week, of course as a Connacht fan I wouldn't want the result to be too close

    Munster -4
    Ulster -6
    Conn -10
    Ospreys -4
    Sarries -21

    Small.

Heads up to anyone expecting a depleted Leinster this weekend, Connacht can be had for the outright win @13/5 on Betfair.

Anybody having a punt on Ireland in Chicago? PP have Ireland +21 @ 10/11 and an Irish win @ 10/1 - both surely worth a few quid to the believers.

I already have a bet on with my local publican @ 10/1 on Ireland to win either game i.e. if they do I have to pay him €100! I'm already planning what to do with my €10 winnings. :D

The handicap seemed kinda ok but then I guess they've been running in tries like crazy against everyone this year.

Sadly you'd be throwing your money away backing Ireland imo.

    Thoughts on Ulster/Munster game?

Munster will find it hard to replicate the energy of the Glasgow game in Ulster's backyard

I fancy Ulster (-6) based on the teams today

I'm pretty sure it will be -8/-9 by kickoff.

Gone out to -8 already on betfair.

That Munster result hurt! Credit to them, great comeback.

Australia are 1 point favourites vs Wales...they've not been great of late but then Wales don't often perform well in the AI's either. Could be worth a look anyway

Definitely would go with Stralia. Wales have not beaten Australia in 11 attempts
Biggar stands way too deep - warren ball tactics won't score enough tries

Will also be going with Argies at +7 v Wales

More or less full strength Argentina -14 against Japan with 13 debutants in the 23...gimme some o' dat!

Ireland to score -6.5 in the 1st half at 11/10 looks the best PP bet out there for the optimist. Surely a converted try, or an unconverted try and a penalty isn't too much for Ireland before the screw is inevitably turned?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,461 ✭✭✭WeleaseWoderick

I've gone with Ireland +23. I know NZ have beaten most times by that and more this year, but just feel it will be tighter than that spread.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 11,690 ✭✭✭✭aloooof

HT/FT Ire/NZ is 7/1. Is even that a bit optimistic??

  • Hosted Moderators Posts: 23,307 ✭✭✭✭beertons

What was the spread on Munster tonight?

    Took them at +24
Think Nz will win by at least 14 but not more than 21
Whitelock and Retalick are massive losses for them.

-7 at K.O. think it was even less before that.

P.s cheers to the person that mentioned the team news above for Japan argie, ended up catching the tail end of -16, the -14 was well gone.

Just went into my a/c there devastated....ended up backing Japan +16!!. First time I've ever ****ed up a betslip online. I've gone on Australia to beat Wales and Ireland +25.5 8/11, I think Ireland will be keeping this as tight a game for as long as they can.

Serves me right for being too cocky but who would have thought it possible - not PP fortunately.

I laid off my bet and survive to fight another day. :D
