Brutal luck on the Brumbies. They just took their foot off the gas completely. I was even sweating on the -8 at the end there.

Looking forward to the Stade vs Toulon game later. You'd have to fancy Toulon but I'm hoping that Stade can put it up to them after their big win over Racing last week.

Not having a bet but you have to love Stade's record against Toulon, last year won 23-0 at home and lost 17-15 away, which is obviously an excellent result at Toulon and this year 30-6 at home and winning 28-24 away. You have to like Stade's ability to be workmanlike against Toulon, really solid pack that should avoid the usual Toulon pack suffocation in a knockout match. Have to like the +7. Also think it's generous to be getting +5 opposing Clermont in a neutral venue in a knockout game. Their knockout history is very significant at this point and Toulouse really weren't that bad last week, always looked in control to me but Oyonnax were a bit plucky which is why they went so close.

Yeah they'll be disappointed that they didn't get over in the second half when they spent a large amount of time camped in the NZ 22 but they'll take heart from the performance nonetheless. Looking like a NZ vs SA final but I did like the look of the French yesterday, even if they got one or two fortunate tries

Should see maximum effort for the 4 tries and then a big effort to build a winning margin.

More after timing I'm afraid but I'm happy with a good start to the Championship due to conservative bets. Nearly got caught today, but threw caution to the wind by going for Australia to win just before half-time. Kept me on the edge of the seat.
