I can understand people having a preference for hairless, hairy or anything in between, but saying pubic hair is gross is just strange in my opinion.

For thousands upon thousands of years men have lusted after women, and never complained. There is a particular nude photo of Madonna sporting a rather splendid bush. Would it have been 'improved' if she was waxed/shaved? I'm sure many of you would say yes, but I just don't think so.

Some of the opinions expressed on here are very genuine expressions of a preference, but others I feel are perhaps informed by porn and the rather sterile image of sex it portrays. I feel sorry for them when they come in to contact with a real life woman, who may or may not be hairless!:eek:

Agreed.. Also saying having hair down there in unhygienic is ridiculous! That's the whole point of pubic hair... to keep your vag clean! Apart from lice, there's no reason to say you do it for hygiene reasons

There is. Lice! Lots of, ahem, secretions come from there and getting mixed in with tangled up hair is obviously not very hygienic. I know it's not necessary to get rid of pubic hair completely, but minimising it is definitely necessary for hygiene.

Personally, I find that completely a shaved vadge is also something of a turn off but for a completely different reason.
