Looks like it hasn't happened yet. I may get another bump in speed so when it is enabled. My attenuation seems a little bit high for my distance to the cab compared to others on here though.

not necessarily, i got the INP increase but vectoring wasnt enabled for about 4 months afterwards, i.e the can do the INP change and vectoring together as has happened for some of the cabinets or seperately.

Ignoring idiots who comment "far right" because they don't even know what it means

Thanks for that. I assumed that vectoring hadn't been enabled on my cabinet as I was still on the 70Mbps profile. However after reading your post I realized that vectoring was in fact enabled so I just rang Eircom and got bumped up to 100Mbps within 5 minutes. I thought the upgrades were supposed to happen automatically once a month but that didn't happen in my case.

Vodafone Upload speeds getting worse. They are not prepared to admit there is any problem or issue and instead tell me they will release me from contract so I can move to another provider, They are obviously well aware that no other operator offers the same service for €35/month.

I spoke to online support friday to get this done and they said their system says im on 50/20 profile yet my stats and speedtests state ive been on 70/20 since i got efibre a few months back, the nest result is they have dropped me back to 50/20 without my asking.
FFS i make a call to get speeds increased closer to to what my stats suggest ie 100 mb im only a few meters from cabinet and this is the outcome.

Strange one this morning, power went overnight and only came back ip an hour or so ago, modem synced at the highest speeds I've seen since we got the VDSL, in fact it's syncing at a higher rate than the attainable it's reporting....

It trained high as it was probably one of the first to come on thus low crosstalk at the time. Reboot and itll go back to normal.

Was told by the Vodafone sales guy I'd be put on 70/20.the engineer who installed the socket said I should get about 70 or 80 megs down.rang em today and they won't raise my profile from 50/20.they wouldn't give a reason.

Getting about 47 down 19 up wired .
Any idea why they won't raise it?

Pretty sure they are waiting for a prequal to be done on your cab ,im waiting on prequal to be done on my cab almost 3 months now.
Like yourself my stats are very good and attainable rate is predicted to be in the 100mb range,

Vodafone seem to have a funny way of dividing up bandwidth between customers, my line is well capable of 18+ Mbps yet they claim the best I can have is 12Mbps or more recently 8Mbps.

My upload speed is brilliant on a wired connection and only restricted by wireless cards in my laptops but the upload which should be 18.4Mbps is falling all the time. They have done several checks on the line but have said there is no fault on the line. They claim my line is not capable of faster upload even though other customers the same distance from their cabinets are getting proper speeds!

As far as I know they have not investigated or answered my concerns about the cable ducting under the footpath outside and the Eircom connection boxes being full of water for about 2 years due to burst water pipes.

    Hey everyone,

I have a small bit of a conundrum. I have Efibre, recently went from a 35/20 profile to a 50/20 profile and my speeds have stayed the same at around 30mbps on wired tests even though my line rate and Actual Net Data Rate have gone up the right amounts.

    Anyone have any ideas?

Cheers in advance. Below are my stats:

I know the feeling, ring and get told there is a fault, instead of upping the profile, sent out an eircom engineer = no fault. = will not ring them again. awful

You're right where you should be considering the current line "quality". Profile is just below attains and SNRs are at ok but not super levels.

If you're over 1200m from the cabinet then its likely correct, if you're closer then it could be indicative of a fault.

I just got connected with Sky fibre this week. The sky modem stats are fairly basic but I've posted them below for public consumption.

Connection Speed is Down = 92156 Kbps Up = 20478kbps
    Line Attenuation Down = 12.6 dB Up = 0
    Noise Margin Down = 20.6 dB Up = 12.12dB

Yesterday evening at 7pm I was getting 18mb down and 17mb up.
At 10pm I was getting 12mb down and 17mb up.
At 12pm this was 26mb down and 19mb up
And at 8:15am this morning I was getting 40mb down and 19mb up.

Just want to update on an issue which I had with my upload speed with my Vodafone Fibre where I was getting max 11-12mbps instead of the 18-19mbps I should have been getting.

For the last number of days at least my upload speed has been up at 18mbps and appears to be quite steady, also on the Speedtest.net test the line is now rated as being A where before it was always B or B+ or A-.

These results are with a wired connection using 500mpbs homeplugs.

Hopefully this is not just a temporary improvement like before when it was fixed for almost a month.

Thanks to all that tried to help before, I probably would have gone mad without the help:D:pac::eek::P

I did nothing and vodafone did even less!

They were so bad they even released me from my 18month contract just two months in because they were unable to find the fault. Speed from the socket in my kitchen measured by several technicians was showing the full 20mbps yet speed out of their modems in use was just 11mbps but for three weeks in october/november the speed jumped to same as it is now. An obvious sign that there was a fault or that vodafine are somehow managing the upload speeds for some reason?

Thought I'd resurrect my own thread with a quick question.....

Have any of you experienced a connection that would connect at a higher rate than the maximum stated obtainable rate?

It's a strange one. The connection seems fine and is running a number of services.

Bull**** that Vodafone is telling you. The real reason I bet is that they do not like to give you the higher rate as their "target" SNR is 12 I think. Ask to speak to someone in 2nd level support (Vic or Barry)and tell them to do it for a week. If the line stays stable great if not well then it will need to be reduced. Alao, your line appears very stable with no CRC errors up or down for a month and counting and low FEC errors for a month.

I was on rate adaptive when I was connected first, they then put me on a stable profile while I had the free trial of eVision. When I got rid of eVision they eventually put me back on R.A. However my speeds don't reflect this, the unlocked F1000 says I'm on 70/20, Eircom say I'm on 70/20 but I can never get higher than 45/15 on speed tests. My samknows box shows 45/15 continuously as well. I've given up at this stage.

yeah i know that mate even when fiber launced first in my area i had magnet with a sync speed of 50/20 (before any crosstalk reducing gear was implemented) with snr's of 6db, perfectly stable.

i may try them again tomorrow as its been 4 or 5 months since last try. i am on a extended cab tho if that helps, as far as i know its not vectored
