Think brown Thomas deserve a round of applause for the way they handled everything excellent all round and thanks to all on this foroum been checking for a solid month and a half for stock on launch day as my ore order was messed up, Thanks lads.

Seconded. BT had their **** together when I was in there. Each preorder had a the name, date, and a stapled receipt with a number on it to make sure there are no mix-ups. The girls at the desk were incredibly polite and willing to chat away as I sorted out paying it.

Xtravision and others could learn a lesson. Of course I suppose you expect a different standard of service from BT but it's still nice to get it.

Definitely agree after ringing around half the country and waiting on a number of returned phone calls, (which I never got).
BT deffinitly where the clear and most outgoing of any I was chatting with no Bull**** and very quick to make sure your order went through, Called the girl a legend afterwards after my order I was that thrilled to be gettin one launch day :)

I'm sure she doesn't get called that very often in BT and was probably even blushing a little under that very expensive make up ;-)

Strange place. Did you go in or over the phone. Where would they sell them inside?

i went into the BT mens shop and asked at the counter. He pulled out a folder and attached my receipt to one of the sheets and said there was 3 left that was at 9.15 am.

Went into gamestop to pre-order games and the manager in there was pissed that BT had a batch on launch day "we don't sell perfume and clothes" he said.

anyway I'm happy out. really wasn't expecting to get on on launch day :)

Lads, I wouldn't expect the XV situation to be any different next week. Make all the calls and start up all the threads you like, from what I understand it's a complete waste of time.

Someone should contact citizen Information and see if there is a law against what they are going.

Then spam the law on the facebook page and if they don't back down quote the law to the manager on the night.

Pre ordered mine in BT Cork there at around 1pm, they had around 12 left between bundle and standalone. Most in the queue were pre-order ing a ps4. So I reckon within two hours they will be sold out

I assume Joe Duffy has received a few emails on this?

Considering Matt Cooper did a few pieces on the consoles,I'm sure he'd be interested in what Xtravision are up to.

Little bit worried about my amazon order after not getting Tearaway yet.

So I checked delivery options and have changed to Expedited delivery which is apparently expected day one delivery. First class was the same but in the option itself it said 1-2 business days.

Please Jebus I get it on launch after taking the day off.

    Mate, thanks a lot!!!

Just rang BT and they have 7 solus and 3 killzone bundles left. Ordered with them over the phone. They will be gone by the minute. Get your credit card and ring. Collecting on day 1 or 2 max... You just made my day.

Brown Thomas. Who'd have ever guessed going to them lol. Good to see so many getting sorted out.

They wouldn't take orders over the phone from me this morning. Got in and managed to secure a bundle. They've no limit so I wouldn't be surprised if scalpers clear them out. Big thanks to ComeraghBlue on this.

I did it in Cork's BT, perhaps Dubliners are more strict? :-)

Anyway, still 10 left to go in BT Cork if anybody has interest in day1 :)

I don't know about the Cork shop, but in Dublin they have a 'Marvel room' that sells their recommended christmas gifts, mostly bags and stationary and stuff like that. That's where they were handling the PS4, as it falls under the Christmas gift catagory. There's no audio-visual or electronics section in the Dublin BT.

Cork might be the same. Can't say for sure.

I think I know the section you are talking about. I'm kicking myself for never giving that place a single thought.

Why aren't ppl looking for games in the ps4 plus service? No need to queue for discs, just download and its cheaper.

Sorry if this had been discussed already, I only checked the last dozen or so pages - but does anyone have an idea when our how soon I'd be able to just walk into a shop and pick up a ps4? I'm not worried about getting one on launch day, but I assume therell be no stock for a while after launch?
Reckon there'd be any chance of just walking into a store and getting one without an order before Christmas? Or are we looking at January at best?
    In cork county btw.

Ring BT Now for any chance to have it next Friday. I think that walkins will only be successful from February. (That's what's smyths said to me two days ago in Cork)

Depends on when Argos or Teco get more stock in, or if some some deal like the one Brown Thomas is doing happens in other stores, but as regards ones that have lists such as Gamestop, you're looking at late Feb or March as the lists are huge, your best bet is to put down a pre order now or go with Amazon.
