Campus Accommodation opening 10th June - Waiting list?

howdy.

I read on sisweb last month that the accommodation list for continuing students will open tomorrow 10th June, saying that students could book their room straight away there and then. Now i see this message which only mentions putting a name on a waiting list. Anybody know which it is?

Yeah. You put your name on the list. Then they give you a booking time from 4pm Tuesday I think.

how do you sign up for the waiting list? Do you ring a number or is it through the room booking process on sis web?

yeah, it will open on SISWeb sometime after 8am tomorrow morning. Just a case of sitting and refreshing the page for god knows how long. fun.

Looks like they're randomizing the start time to prevent all the spots being taken up early and server flooding. Also "technical difficulties" with the phone line most likely involves someone at the res offices cutting the phone line with a scissors to avoid the backlash. Basically they are a bunch of mongs over at ucd residences
