Was Hong Kong really the best place for this game? The heat is ruining the game.

Ah come on Barnes, he dropped it cold! It wasn't that bad a pass

Fair enough but if he has been average enough so far but listening to Sky, they are painting a different picture.

So that will wind people up, espically as we are meant to be one team.

Sky aren't painting a different picture at all!

Need to put the passes into the body, they'll never catch them if they have to stretch for them.

It's because HSBC is headquartered there, I think.

The Farrel pass was probably sweaty hands, but that one from Maitland just looked like a bad pass. SKY are making excuses for every Lions mistake.

    Barbarians by more than 10
Mako is going to be 14 stone at this rate.

    Great kick by Farrell.

I think the Lions will be pretty happy with that.

Conditions seem awful and the opposition have done nothing though.

    Boomer from Farrell: 23-3

    Poor enough spectacle so far.

    Barbarians by more than 10
    Farrell 5/6 from the tee

    Lions by 1-10
Great kick by Farrell. Not a great game for the backs due to the conditions even though the Lions backs have made a good few mistakes as well.

POC, Phillips (distribution aside), Vunipola, Jones and Roberts the standouts

Maitland, Farrell, Hibbard not doing themselves any favours

  • Registered Users Posts: 17,766 ✭✭✭✭bilston

Comfortable first half, Jones, POC and Davies the stand outs for me although Davies had a quieter second quarter. I would love to see Hogg released at some stage.

    The humidity is bonkers!

Is it just me or has the Lions backrow been quiet?

And they are teammates at Saracens!

Think the whole game has been a bit of a non-event so far.

Is it just me or has the Lions backrow been quiet?

Is Tipuric even playing? Ive noticed Toby a bit more though

  • Registered Users Posts: 7,018 ✭✭✭Bridge93

From 5 have been quite good
    Back row haven't been great
    Phillips very dangerous
    Farrell kicking well
Centres doing what they do reasonably well
Outside backs not been in it.

Distribution has been very difficult with the heat

    Barbarians by more than 10
Is it just me or has the Lions backrow been quiet?

That's what I said, Heaslip and Croft would be better suited imo.

The handling has been pretty good considering they are playing in similar conditions to a water polo match.

Is it just me or has the Lions backrow been quiet?

Yep, all three of them really. Would have thought it would have suited Tipuric

  • Registered Users Posts: 7,462 ✭✭✭Kiwi_knock

    Lions by 1-10
You have to think Gatland and the coaches will be disappointed with the match so far, the Barbarians have not provided much opposition

Yeah he seems to be are second scrummie.

In fairness did win a good turnover.

Lydiate not really the sort of player you notice to much anyway which probably means he's doing his job.
