There's a metal plate at the top of my gear knob, the thing burns the hand off me if it's been in the sun for 5 minutes.

I also park in the shade and swear by the Japanese Swinging Door Technique

This is why I love cloth seats.

    So woefully underappreciated.

Get warm. But don't burn the arse like leather. Or sweat my back because the fabric breaths better

These are cloth seats, standard 406 velour seats, nice light blue  I opened the E34, this wall of hot air nearly knocked me over :(

Having said that, my van is lovely and cool inside plus the smell of hot leather and grease in the garage is intoxicating, proper old style garage

Getting even more of a tan working on these 156's, no escape for me! :p

I also burnt the backside off meself yesterday in the e60.
Thank logic for the ice cold setting on the aircon :D

Today is the reason I didn't go for full leather this time around. Just jumped into the car to check my phone and it's a pleasure not being stuck to the seat.

I have black leather in my Laguna. I have window deflectors so I can keep the windows down a bit and a sun screen I put across the windscreen to keep the sun out. No way you'd sit on the seats otherwise!

Welp. Just went for a drive to get my lunch.

Leather steering wheel trim burned the arse off me anyway. Seats were still fine on my hands. .

Sure what else would ya do on a day like today?

Good thing my ex-wife's not here, she had a strange notion that dishwashers were for 'dishes' not EGR valves:D

    Bloody rubber neckers.

I nearly but the dust on the N7

Aviva auto renewed my bloody insurance. Despite specific instruction to my broker not to let it happen. This should be fun to sort in Peru!

Surely I would have had to sign something for the next years insurance? Argh!

What in the name of flute were you doing..... Not in a public place!!!

Nope, the letter states they will automatically renew and continue the direct debits if you don't cancel the policy. It's to stop the "What do you mean my policy expired 6 months ago, why didn't you tell me before I caused €3 Million worth of damage" brigade.

Yeah seems logical. Just annoying after instructing my broker to not allow the policy to auto renew.

Anyway the ould fella rang and sorted it. Should have the cash in 10 days!

Just back from a brief 'test spin'
Everything is working fine. Managed to average 9.9l/100km on a 10km 'hot lap' :D

If im not doing a long run I would be pretty pleased with 9.9 l/100km myself
    I've seen 39.5 l/100km on a "spirited" drive too.

That was a 10km country road loop around my house.
It was about as hard as I can drive a 159 jtdm:D
4k in every gear(after that its just noise) 180kph at one stage.
    Daysul has its good side:pac:

Have to say it was a good decision getting my air con recharged on Saturday after driving home from work for an hour in 28°c heat.

Oil's best for lubrication; benzene for combustion. Needs to be a proper size too, none of these 3L wusses.:P

Jesus wept, I'm going to kick the ****e out of the next tyre fitter using a impact wrench to tighten nuts. I nearly slipped a disc trying to loosen wheel nuts on a C5 there.

They're only meant to be tightened to 90NM ffs

Something similar happened on my astra. When I first got it I checked the bolts and realised they were seriously tight. So I had to get on of them extendable ratchets and absolutely hang out of it and I'm not small by any means and i just about managed to get them off. Even worse on the some idiot decided he'd but on the lock nuts with an impact wrench. Mechanic had fun getting them of when he went to do the suspension work. I just got standard nuts to replace them cheapest thing to fix on the car so far.
