Lurchers are a form of long dog, basically they are cross between a hunting dog, and a sighthound.

I have had three in my time, lovely dogs very gentle nature, but incredible hunters.

Three of those Lurchers ran in front of my car before hit one flew over my bonnet broke its neck. they jump through a gate along a row of bushes so didn't see them till I hit one. Went looking for the other 2 after to find the owners no where to be seen.

Yep, popular (though not exclusively) with those of the traveling disposition.

Its a mix dog used by the traveling community, the mix is usually always Greyhound based.

So apparently to pass its National car test that I should be buying tomorrow only requires front left wheel bearing. Selling assures me he can get that sorted tonight / tomorrow morning. Sounds like an adventure, what could go wrong?

I'll either post a photo of a car without a wheel in a ditch surrounded by sheep or a car parked beside Lake Taupo at the half way point home tomorrow.

HAppens all the time at UK main dealer/large corporate garages. The basis is that it would be a breach of the Data Protection Act; I suspect there's never been a case in Ireland but I bet there has been in the UK. The problem is that the information "tends to identify" the owner as to be of any use it has to have either their name or reg on it. Generally, dealers will share the information between themselves and it can be obtained that way. Maybe people will relaise the value of a service book plus backup invoices.

Ya this is from a big main dealer group. I'll see if the garage I'm dealing with can get the previous owner to get the info for them for me to see. Just taken by surprise is all. Fella was bit of a ignorant pr1c too on phone think got out wrong side the bed!

    Brakes!
Hahahahah just shows the value of good negotiations! I'd reckon between the new/reworked brakes, the assorted repairs to the fuel filter and other misc parts, and the new alternator and belt, he is north of 1k on repairs just to get it through the DOE

Did you give him a non doe price?

    No
Negotiated 1500 off first - then subtracted 500 for DOE works.

So truck listed at 6500 initially, I'm paying 5.5 with a doe.

Don't want it without the DOE, can't tax it commercially without the DOE and CRW

I did recently put new tyres on it though and it was perfect in every way other than being a **** bike (really well maintained etc):(

Oh arts student!!! I have never been so insulted :P:eek:
