    Yes they will bate them.
Agree Aidan o Shea is a better midfielder than Barry Moran but Barry has come into his own as a top class midfielder.Hope to God we've seen the last of that silly experimentation of Aidan at centre half forward.

    Yes they will bate them.
Pitch is playable anyways barring inevitable rain.

You will get it on Premier Sports, but thats a sub channel, so publs might have it.

I think most pubs will be showing premiership though :-(

    Why wouldn't it be?

Sure the weather has been ok.

They had to do a pitch inspection this morning. I didn't notice more rain than usual either but that pitch never carried rain well.

Was lashing back home all day yesterday.

Anyways, on the way down now listening to N17. Nothing like Galway - Mayo in the championship . Can't wait

Didn't realise that. Is the game definitely going ahead?

I think there's a decent chance of a Galway win here. Mayo have a fair few injuries and if you're going to pull off an upset then the middle of May is the time to do it.

It would want to be! Haven't heard or seen anything at all. The Galway supporters facebook page is usually good for updates like that, aren't you Starie ;)

No way it'll be called off now. Got the go ahead this morning and out my way it's mild in Salthill.

    Is the wind strong?

    Yes they will bate them.
Not bad breeze-wise but those winds can come out of nowhere, especially considering there's still 3+ hours to go.

Think Galway have a good chance here today, theres alot in their favour at the moment: underdogs, at home, Meehan back firing, u21 All Ireland win, Mayo injuries to key forwards.

Galway wont get a better chance to beat Mayo for years.

Mayo need to show why they are one of the best in the country, All Ireland contenders should pull through difficult times.

    Maigh Eo Abu!

Hard to know. Dillon is p. much starting I hear and Andy Moran is a quality sub to bring on that Galway just don't have at senior level. Shane Walsh is an unknown quantity at senior.

Mayo's light squad, especially in the forwards, is a problem today. I expect Dillon to start but i dont rate Freeman at this level and would be worried about the likes of Carolan who strikes me as the type of player whose effectiveness wanes as the ground gets firmer.

I dont rate Galway either however and expect Mayo to get through in a dogfight. Hon Mayo!

Overcast with a gentle breeze here in Salthill near perfect conditions for what should be a good game.

Thought Michael Meehan was finished at this level due to injuries?

Galway have a very young team!

Speaking as an adopted Galwegian I must say that I wish Mayo had gotten a second goal there. What the hell were Galway doing with that free?

Today could well decide if he is indeed finished at this level.....

This short handpassing in defense makes me sick. Get the damn ball out of there. Galway look well out of it.

    Game over.

Galway are being dominated in every position.

Game over. Galway give away the possession and it ends up with a goal for Mayo.
